For all my CD listening fags out there — What are you listening to tonight?? I've got the Grateful Dead going right now, appropriately zonked after a joint of Death Bubba as well as wired on late nite coffee. Very beat, indeed.

Im listening to little dark age by mgmt and gorillaz song machine, since they were 2 cds i shoplifted today :D
I played Crystal Kay tonight - never seen her mentioned on Any Forums
Did you really user? How did you get past the store's security sensors?
I only listen to CDs in my car since that's where I use em
thinking about picking up
>Kanye - College Dropout
>Coctaeu Twins - Heaven or Las Vegas
>Bowie - Ziggy Stardust
pretty basic choices but I think they will be endlessly enjoyable to drive and listen too
definitely need to get a few jazz CDs, but a lot of the stuff I like is the low tempo Bill Evans
Quick everyone buy CDs before they become super popular with the young kids and the prices skyrocket like vinyl did. It's already starting I think.
Oh fuck yeah user, Bill Evans is my favourite too. I even have his Sunday Live At the Village Vanguard on CD, but I prefer to listen to my digital copy because it's longer and unedited. I think Parisian Sketches and In A Silent Way have to round out my top 3 fav jazz records, with the Bill Evans album I just mentioned, however.
It’s already too late. I remember going to flea markets with my old neighbor and buying a bunch of decent CDs in great shape for nothing.
>go to bookman’s
>buy a bunch of CDs
Love it
Wtf. Don't you have thrift shops run by old grannies who don't know the value of what they put out, near you, user??
Less and less, it’s like videogames
That's too bad. Many such cases.
Are CDs cool again?
I really like Heaven or Las Vegas for driving. A bit off-topic but I Want To Be Adored is great for driving at night with the windows down.
I don't drive, but if I did, I would drive to Perturbator.
Nice. I like most Grateful Dead stuff until Pigpen died, then it's hit or miss for me. Also, your pic reminds me how much I hate digipaks. They're rarely in good shape when bought used, even if the disc is in mint condition.
They're not as cheap as they were around 5-7 years ago I think, but still far more affordable than most vinyl.
I'm currently listening to older Thrash Metal albums that I've missed in my teenage years:
>Exodus - Bonded By Blood
>Dark Angel - Darkness Descends
>Sepultura - Whole run from "Morbid Visions" to "Chaos A.D."
Not at home at moment but I have 10 CDs I'm going to rip tomorrow on my day off. I love doing that with EAC
Nice. I agree with you user. I like pretty much everything they did with Pigpen, but after that their best stuff imo has to be their late 80s-early 90s material, especially played live. Brent had such a soulful voice. I might queue up a Dead live comp next, actually.
Playing now. It's always good to have a Grateful Dead phase, which I think I can feel coming on now...
Haven't listened too much to later GD, but I like the Without A Net compilation with Brent. It's interesting how much he "vitalizes" the band with his playing and singing, for a lack of a better term.
I think more people should at least give them a sincere listen before judging. I'm not even American and had my problems with their country influences first, because it was just a bit too foreign to me. But then it clicked. Helps that there's so much to listen and read about them out there. You can really get lost in that stuff.
They're very positive and bright sounding. Perfect for summertime youtu.be
No, God forbid. I think the millennials are going to be the only generation in 20 years who will still be listening to CDs. Maybe then, actually, but I think zoomers' disinterest will ultimately kill them, and go the way of Laser Discs. Vinyl will be worth more than ever, bt.w
>*Maybe then, prices will go up
