it's mostly boring safe and uninspired musically. conceptually it had a ton of potential and some of the songs are very well made.
what about this one?
youtube.com
It's so very pedestrian compared the Floyd albums that came before it.
never cared for the message
even as a kid i thought it was as subtle as a brick through a window
its not as good
It has filler to meet the double album runtime.
It's way too pretentious.
It’s all about Waters’ issues with his parents, the other albums were all about the band dealing with Syd Barrett going insane so they were better
The majority of opinion you encounter here is contrarian; this is why /lit/ will propel Infinite Jest into the realm of mythical praise (as a joke because it is not good), and why Any Forums will dismiss and criticize OP's pic into the ground (because it is largely accepted as some of their best work). Contrarian takes are prime fuel for maximizing potential LULZ, and will always be prevalent here among individuals who thrive off the chaos and banter, and not on consensus.

amateur cover bringing nothing to the table
hoo boy you're gonna hate what's coming next...
:DDD
what's the point?
I genuinely don't understand
to make you ask dumb questions. I'm like 3 and 0.
so there is no point at all
you could have come up with essentially anything else and it would have been reasonably valid
but instead you admit you spent all this time and effort solely to collect a few (You)s
that's pathetic, man
not like you've got any music of your own, dweeb. you're getting mad at people doing things. imagine being down that bad.

you are a child. goodbye
because the best pink floyd songs are the really long ones with plenty of guitar wankery, and minimal "my dad is dead we live in a society".
Unfortunately the longest song on the wall is 6 minutes and the entire album is about "my dad is dead we live in a society".
roger was the original "we live in a society"-poster
only on the second half though
first half is perfect
