Hello zoomies, I see you like MCR. MCR was mad cringe back then, akin to listening to good Charlotte. How about you listen to these associated acts that came around the same time. I will provide some music videos for educational purposes.

Guitar hero?
nah it was the soundtrack to a halo machinima lol
Scene girls always smelled funny
Probably from sweating excessively from all the E they were popping while hard-core dancing.
Holy fuck I saw moneen alexis and the reason play so many times in high school.
I wanted a girl like this when I was a kid, but when I became old enough they were nowhere to be found.
I find it weird that mcr came back with young people. I figured it would be taking back Sunday or dashboard confessional. Especially dashboard because their song was the main song for the Toby maguire Spiderman movie.
I was really into Smash Mouth music with no sense of irony in high school.
It was hard trying to talk to other kids about it since most thought I was into their music for the Shrek meme.
Which i was (partially) but Walking On The Sun and Beer Goggles were the type of Music I'd want as my opening theme song.
Walking on the sun is kino

i cant stop laughing at the yellow shirt guy.
also, filming a video in your dad's studdy just makes you look like angsty rich kids, nobdy likes angsty rich kids
good song minus the screaming though.
same bro...
Taking Back Sunday would make more sense because of the shoegaze revival. i always thought they had a sorta gaze quality to them
That's an abandoned house and Andrew WK also filmed a video..
Video there*
once i got old enough, they still existed. but the hot ones were in serious relationships with Chads and the younger ones were cringe as fuck. for me, the scene only lasted from 7th grade (2005) - sophmore year (2007/8). MCR's black parade sucked and i hated paramore. all the good stuff was gone or just hard to find in my town.
ah. sthill though, it makes them look like they have a rich dad and he let them film there/paid for the video
A Playlist of this kind of music from the early and mid 2000s open.spotify.com
I was more the goofy fun pop punk/ska kid then edgy.

I liked that stuff too. Less than Jake welcome to rockview(port?) Was my shit.
I swear; there used to be a time where like 90 percent of the internet hated scene kids with a thousand suns - especially because they were impulsive, posery, fake, trashy bimbos.
Then around ~2016-onward, but especially within the past few years - everyone suddenly started to love/romanticize them. what happened?
I'm kind of convinced that scene revisionism is a glowie psyop - coercing people into degenerate lfiestyles
>2005 - 2008
2008 was like my 4th grade year so I must've been looking at the remnants of the scene. By the time I reached hs girls were wearing high-waisted mom jeans and other instagram stuff. I was always in my own world with music but I remember them talking about Kendrick Lamar, SZA, Porter Robinson, Frank Ocean, Travis Scott, Tame Impala, etc. and whatever was playing at musical festivals around 2016-2018.
I used to get in fights with those faggots. They would do the dumbest shit at the mall like fuck with store workers and shit so I would put them in their place and call them fags and ask then if they got their pants from their sister. They always fought back though. Surprisingly.
You are such a goddamn faggot.
I swear to god, I wish I could have shoved your head in a urinal.
As an old zoomer it sucks having to be roped with the Tiktok zoomer generation when I know and love half of these (silverstein, taking back sunday, matchbook romance, the reason) thanks to my millenial sister getting my mom and i into it
I graduated high school the year before lol.
I remember these queers. The guys used to make out and post pics of it on Facebook. Everyone at school would call them gay and they would say they aren't gay it's just a joke. Whatever you say homo.
The worst part about these bands were the vocalists.
Embarrassing assholes who fuck kids at some point.
bro its just nostalgia.
Why are you specifically adressing young people? fucking pervert.
>I swear; there used to be a time where like 90 percent of the internet hated scene kids with a thousand suns
most of that hate came from ex-scene kids... now we have grown up and are nostalgic.
Zoomer here, but I never understood why MCR got so big, their was better bands like AFI, Say Anything, JamisonParker, HIM, etc....
