I can guarantee Albini would be completely washed up if he hadn't been paid millions of dollars by Nirvana. The ironic part about that (and the part everyone forgets) is Kurt wanted Albini but when all was said and done he realized the In Utero album sounded like shit and Nirvana ended up getting the mixing redone by an actual professional.

I agree with this post but this part is misleading- I totally hate Alibini's in utero but other albums he's worked on are relatively fine. Dude's just a meme and an engineering neckbeard if such a thing exist

Almost everything he's done sounds great on a good stereo setup. Anyone that doesn't like Albinis production exclusively listens to music via Airpods (all the zoomers ITT) and can only handle blown out Rick Rubin production with 0 dynamics.
