for what? lou reed had all the time in the world to make any albums he wanted after the velvet underground, it just shows he really didn't have that much else to say

This is more of David Bowie album than Lou reed

He released great albums every decade he was active other than the 2010s

How, retard?

I feel like lou, cale, and nico all went off to do greater things after TVU

I will hold hands with loubros and admit this is the best thing both of them did post-VU

you mean the album that david bowie wrote for him?

Wild Side and Perfect Day are all Lou. Maybe Satellite of Love has Bowie's stamp.

Berlin is better

You just know this is wrong

he released a great album in 2011

Lou Reed wrote all the songs, retard. The Spiders just recorded them with him.
It's underrated, and I think it's pretty decent overall, but it's not great, objectively speaking.

Bowie NEVER wrote songs like until Aladdin Sane

Fuck no, I'm not much of a Velvet Underground cultist but those first two records are definitely something special, mainly because they were more collaborative instead of being dominated by Lou Reed. I just hate the songwriting and overall vibe he had on his solo albums and those last two VU albums. It's like he made music that would only appeal to the smug, neurotic New York hipster critics of the 70s who thought cynicism was the pinnacle of art.

GOAT ALBUM

idk why nico ever associated with these talentless freaks

It's a wonder.
