90s Song

This Megadeth song doesnt sound anything like their other work, acoustic guitar and a distorted vibe. Sounds like other 90s music but I dont know the genre, what is it?

sounds like some Carlos Santana rip off shit

Risk is a very underrated album. Dave took thrash metal to daring new places. Metallica would never have DARED travel that far outside of their safespace.

working class Fabio.

>Dave took thrash metal to daring new places.
i know this is bait but the express purpose of risk was to NOT be thrash metal

>the express purpose of risk was to NOT be thrash metal
yeah, because he stretched and twisted the very aspects of thrash so far that it became it's own thing. i'm not baiting. it became prog-thrash or proto-modern metal.

god this sucks lmfao. sounds like its almost trying to be alice in chains or something

OH IM A LUMBERJACK AND IM OKAY
I SLEEP ALL NIGHT AND I WORK ALL DAY

>he stretched and twisted the very aspects of thrash so far that it became it's own thing
You mean literal WWE-rock?

Cryptic Writings is a much better album than Risk and TWNAH as well, I think Dave could've managed that style if he really wanted too.

based CW appreciator
I couldn't care less for Have Cool Will Travel or A Secret Place but Almost Honest and Use the Man are fucking bangers

Dave is the Steven Seagal of music.

It's down to the Dann Huff production, his touch is all over that album. If Mustaine had of been producing it on his own, it would have sounded a lot different. Dann mixed pop / rock from the 90s and Mustaine added the harder rock edge.

Doesnt sound like Alice In Chains at all.

So what genre is this song?

pop-rock.

nearly borders on a British indie kind of vibe.

>prog-thrash
Existed as early as 1985. Before Peace Sells!

And perfected in 1991. One year after Rust in Peace!

Monty Python?
Nothin?

>falls for obvious bait
>thinks Mental Vortex is better than RIP
yep, it's a retard

>indie
Indie is such an umbrella term its useless to use

ok British indie rock like Oasis etc.

britpop.

lmao he was trying so hard to be on the radio here
