I'm doing gods will shaming people into learning theory.
Ryan Taylor
is it working? and why did you choose shame as your method?
Elijah Gutierrez
Because if you base your identity and personality around music you should respect it enough to take the two hours it takes to learn basic theory and be able to sing decently at a minimum. Polyphonic instrument is also a plus. They should feel ashamed.
I learned today that some fret buzz is fine. If it doesn't make the sound bad when the guitar is plugged in, it's fine. I won't stress about it anymore.
I don't have any extended range guitars, and I'd like to get into it, but for the life of me, I will never understand the 7 or 9 string fags. At 7 strings, you already can't strum the way you're used to and will have to adapt your playing style to work with the low B, but you still don't have the full range of notes. Why not just get an 8 string and have all of the notes that are used in music, since it won't impose any extra limits or compromises on you that the 7 string doesn't do already? And the 9 string fags don't play advanced jazz harmonies or elongated arps that utilize the whole range of the instrument, they just slam low notes. Why not just play bass at that point? And don't get me started on the 10 string fags who are so brutal they need chug at frequencies that only whales can hear.
