Pretty sure they're just like most metropolitan normies nowadays: vaguely leftist but mostly they don't actually give a fuck. As far as I'm aware, they enjoyed their money, hated taxes, and were too aware of the failures of communism (see Revolution) to be actual leftists.
Actually they were politicized by the famous philosopher, logician, and mathematician, Bertrand Russell (18 May 1872 – 2 February 1970) who was against the Vietnam war at the time and famous for being an outspoken opponent of religion, conservatism (esp. Victorian values), and war. He was a leftist but more of a one government, pacifist anglo bugman type.
