Take the CD pill

truth

Also, they have greater bit depth than vinyl.

CDs are ok, but modern flash media is much more practical when you're on the go. Personally, I prefer the warmth of the good old mechanical hard drive.

There isn’t really much difference between listening to a CD and listening to a FLAC, but listening to older vintage physical media like vinyl and even cassette gives you a glimpse into how albums sounded to music listeners of their day.

>glimpse into how albums sounded to music listeners of their day.

So worse. they sounded worse. Got it.

I generally buy new CD's from places that ofer flac downloads of the music as well. Very handy. If they don't, or I buy from a store, then I will just rip a flac digital copy to my computer. I like owning the physical copy and having that physical connection and a collection I can share with friends and family and ppossibly pass on. I get that wit CD's, while also maintaining some level of modern convenience.

Download everything, and buy the shit you really like from your music library on vinyl. Only rational answer.

seconding this

I've constructed a short guide to deciding which format you should collect.

1. Do you hate fun?
Yes = CDs
No = Vinyl

t. retard

you can't hear it

IDK brahs but vinyl on some good headphones sounds more interesting than a perfect digital file.

Vinyl
It’s about SOVL

I mainly listen to digital, but i like a lot collecting vinyls. It just feels different to actually own the album in a physical format

>vinyls

REEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEE

who here LP chad?

>vinyl

CD's are back

The fun is hunting down rare/OOP albums and listening to the music. Anything beyond that is annoying.

>go to the local shop
>find cool album I want
>doesn't look warped or scratched
>buy it and take it home
>go over it with the record cleaning brush
>needle drops
>sounds like gunfire on the streets of another Slavic civil war
>get 2 or 3 skips

or alternatively

>get brand new record from record store
>get it home
>open shrink wrap
>warped or scratched
>it skips

or alternatively

>get brand new record
>costs 10$ more than the normal pressing because color
>more noisy than the same black pressing
>wears faster

I tried to take the vinyl pill. Shit sucked.
