The Kinks are not an album band.

FA FA FA FA FA FA FA FA

wrong

it's the most depressing song in the world.

why

Well, you're all wrong but also right. The absolute best stuff is the songs that "Village Green" but the stuff that didn't make it into the album (singles, b-sides, out-takes, things that were supposed to be on "Four More Respected Gentlemen") are just as good, if not better.

this is why i hate this board

Nah

Some great songs (Brainwashed, Victoria, Drivin') but lots of filler. Overall not as good as Village Green, but who knows, maybe if they completed that TV special I'd think otherwise (doubt it though)

There is no filler, you just got filtered.

"Some mother's son" might as well be called "skip that song"

See, this is what I meant. Some Mother's Son is a fantastic song with one of Ray's most powerful vocal performances and heartfelt lyrics.

because not everyone shares your opinion on everything?

Well, what can I tell you we have different tastes

anyone willing to post a high res copy of the 'something else' cover from AAX? fanart.tv covers only go up to 1000x1000

because someone creates a topic about x and immediately some faggots barge in with y and z

They were good. but when they entered the 70's they went to shit.
