Why are vocal melodies so hard, bros?
I can write decent enough instrumental passages but when I try to set words to it it all falls apart. When I use lyrics I've written beforehand they mess up the rhythmic pattern of the melody and when I try to work the other way and write lyrics off the melody it comes off as forced and staid.
