THE CLASH

Just listened to this for the first time on Gavin Mcinnes recommendation . Wow.

There are really people out there who think it’s full of filler? The only filler tracks are Lovers Rock and Four Horsemen IMO.

The card cheat is one of my favorite songs now. Koka Kola is god tier too.

those are great and I even liked the ones i thought were weaker with more listens years later.

Spanish Bombs is my favorite

zero filler

What do u think of sandinista and cut the crap?
I’ve heard Sandinista is their worst and I’ve also hear cut the crap is shit but I actually like that 80s synth heavy, cheap processed drums sound …

J-a-zee zee J-a-zed zed
J-a-zee zee J-a-zed zed
J-a-zed zed Jimmy Jazz

Cut the Crap is their worst by far. Sandinista isn't a tight album, but there is so much good stuff in it. The Card Cheat, The Call Up, Ivan Meets G.I. Joe and Lose This Skin are good tracks. I always thought Somebody Got Murdered would be a great football chant.

And even then I've grown to like and appreciate those tracks too (though they are definitely the only nonessential tracks).

Unbelievably based. These along with Death or Glory and Rudie Can't Fail are my favorites. This album is a 10 for me and in my top 5 of all time.

ELEVATOR GOIIIING UP

I'm this user btwI love Sandinista, it's my second fav Clash album. I don't think it's worth sitting through all at once because it's incredibly long obviously, but the way I went through the record is I'd just put on one or two sides (out of 6) a day. It works because each individual side flows well. I think the album is fantastic and surprisingly light on filler- most of the filler is side 6, which mostly reinterprets/remixes some of the other tracks, and those are enjoyable almost in a bonus disc way.

Drug-stabbin' time

Nobody needs a loser
So kick him out that door
Don't answer it no more

The Card Cheat isn't on the album and Police On My Back is the best song on it.

Of course that hipster faggot would recommend this.
Should of not pussy out and brought up Skrewdriver.

he recently did an episode of his podcast devoted entirely to the history of the clash and his friendship with joe

Why even bother watching these grifting jews

It's kind of amazing how far The Clash fell off after this album (Combat Rock has some great songs though)

His subscription is literally $10 a month he doesn’t grift shit

>needed gavin mciness to show you london calling

Kek
Neck yourself

The album with the noose on the cover and the one with the weird title nobody can remember are some of their best

whats next? ben shapiro introduced me to pet sounds?

kek, that's hilarious

u know he barely became associated with politics the last few years, right?
He literally created Vice magazine, when it was cutting edge and has been a music / fashion guy his whole career. Not to mention his involvement in the punk scene

i just never gave it a chance because I don’t like punk
I liked dead kennedys in high school and listening to it now makes me crin

Nobody of true substance hates the Clash discography, only contrarians do.
