I suck at guitar still. I need a few more years of practice before I can really say I’m worth any value to the music world

I'm demotivated at the moment just to release something great and I take my time to perfect whatever I'm making in my head.

lyrics

got a double album worth of songs without a single worth written, just the vocal line

a single word*

I have a bunch of throwaway lyrics I wrote if you want to take a look and try to piece together something decent

i feel like i have nothing to say. nothing to add to the conversation that's already been said better then me

Is not good and I still suck at singing-playing at the same time/playing live

I have put my music out there. The problem is that I can't mention it on Any Forums without being called a shill and then nobody listens to it anyway.

playing live is so scary dude!!!!! i went out of my comfort zone to try to play with some strangers and i kept fucking up so badly. i honestly hate how insecure i am with my ability to play music

Im more of a writer guy then a musician honestly, i just listen to it

I can't play any instruments or sing.

We have shill threads just for that. Come post in the shill threads user, I’ll listen

Working on Acidmusic.net

Holds me back so fucking much lmao

You can post your music in shillthreads and there are people willing to criticize your work by what's good and what you can do better. Don't be afraid for your music to be called shit because you know you can improve from it.

Gambling today and already withdrew

complete lack of talent, knowledge, material, connections

Is this ironic?

>4 years old: I wanna be a rockstar like Little Richard, Ian Dury, or The Proclaimers (artists my dad liked)
>9 years old: I wanna be in a band like Hanson, they're young like me!
>11: Let's start a band like blink-182, not The Eagles! (my friend's favorite band)
>15: I want to combine glam rock like Roxy Music and garage punk like The Stooges
>18: Soon I'm going to start a post-punk band. But everyone's telling me to go to college, or I'll fail in life...
>23: I graduated, now it's time to finally move to New York and start an experimental indie band! Oh, but I just got an acceptance letter from the Peace Corps. I should really move to New York and pursue my dreams, I don't have forever! No, I don't really have a plan... okay, I'll join the Peace Corps.
>26: Out of the Peace Corps, now's the time! It's now or never! Go start the band! What, get a job? Okay... oh, there's this thing I could go do for a few months in Africa...
>27: Oh, I got accepted into a decent grad school! Better go do that!
>29: I graduated, now I better go get a job! Oh, this is hard and I'm out of money, I need to move back to my hometown and get a retail job 'cuz it's the only thing that can get
>30-31: COVID, quarantine
>32: I got offered a high school teaching position in the middle of nowhere. I have no real skills, so it's my only option. Why did I never start that band? I'm only 32, it's not too late yet, but it soon will be...
FUCK

I've done that and given lots of feedback. I got like one response in return. It always feels like people aren't actually interested in listening to others, they just do the bare minimum for their own music to get some plays. I don't always have the time to listen to others as well because I'm busy most of the time.
Also, I mainly make harsh noise, so most people aren't going to be interested anyway.

Don't give up

If Jbenitex tells you not to give up

Then you don't give up
