The previous three albums were three of the greatest albums ever. Sticky Fingers in particular being one of my favourite albums ever. This album on the otherhand blows chunks. It's like some honky tonky jam session with muh 50s rock n roll and none of the great songwriting or guitar playing of the previous three albums
Why is this album so lauded
i like the despondent drugged out hopeless feel of it
it sounds unfocused and sloppy. it doesn't sound fucking brilliant, like sister morphine or moonlight mile
its a matter of opinion man
It's a meme
nah it sucks ass. the type of shit bob dylan fans think is great
Sounds like you only care about the hit songs, this album is about exploring a mood
Torn and Frayed and Let it loose are good. Two hit wonder album
>he can't enjoy rocks off
cringe
most of beggars, let it bleed and sticky fingers are not hits. this is just shit
You don't like The Rolling Stones if you don't love Exile. Stick to top 40 hits
>Tumbling Dice
>Happy
>Rocks Off
>Sweet Virginia
But I agree with OP. Sticky Fingers is vastly superior.
This
If you don't enjoy Exile you don't deserve to listen to rock music at all
youtube.com
>muh shit take stated as fact
kys
I wouldn’t say that. I like Exile too, but it’s no Beggars’ Banquet, Aftermath, Let it Bleed, or even No. 2 or Out of My Head.
Voodoo Lounge… now that’s an overrated album
No, it's shit and everybody knows it. It was Keith trying to do Exile again but with zero good songs
Albums a drugged out, bluesy, british masterpiece. They combine everything great about rock n roll and american blues/gospel/black music. It's literally their peak, they weren't trying to repeat any old formulas they were drugged out of their minds, hiding in france from tax collectors and fucked up. The whole album is excellent, no other british blues act took such a purist approach to rock, blues etc as they did on exile on main street.
>hiding in france from tax collectors
Wait what?
