they did one good album plagiarizing all the good post-punk bands and they never did a decent album after that
is this bloc party

A Weekend in the City was okay. The remixes albums were pretty good.
Intimacy is their only good album
Yeah
They had an incredibly talented drummer that left the band shortly after. Haven't been the same since.
Yep. The original bassist left too.
The time in which it came out had a lot to do with it. Also skate culture, I found out about these guys through a DVS video.
I was a teenager in England when all these bands were around and I hated every single one of them. Bloc Party I hated only slightly less than Editors, Forward Russia! and The Futureheads, who are possibly the worst band I've ever heard in my life.
Nothing went right; they were shit.
I enjoyed them all at the time, in hindsight a lot of it was quite shit.

this is what we could of had bros
Not much, this album has aged very badly. This modern Love is one of the most obnoxious post-punk revival songs of that era. These guys were a bad drummer short of being The Killers.
Forward Russia are the best of the 4 bands mentioned in your post.
I'll agree Futureheads were fucking awful though.
what about AM
ripping off interpol and simultaneously outdoing them
Foals unironically did it better on their first album
>Editors
>coming of age at the start of landfill indie
feel bad for you son
>this album has aged very badly
No it hasn't.
I agree. For late 00s angular British guitar rock with droney vocals this is the pinnacle.
fooken students
shame about the rest of their albums
