I moved to a city and I had to pretend to not be into punk and actually like 60's jazz and 50's soul. Thankfully I realized it was all just pretentious posturing and came back full circle to Rock
There really is no "growing out" of the best genre of music second to Classical, it's only getting over Ironic Dispositions. Except Rap, Rap is fucking disgusting, that genre can take their devilish 808's straight to hell where they know they're going

>growing out of music
Lol gay

32. I just lost all interest. I still listen sometimes but it's for nostalgia' s sake. The fantasy and identity parts of music stopped being important. Fantasy and identity stuff is important in rock music

Nu Metal is rock

I’ve been listening to metal for 20 years and have no desire to stop. There’s phenomenal metal out there and it’s fun to play. It’s difficult, aggressive, and it challenges me as a guitar player. I used to dig the punk scene but grew out of that music long ago.

Rock n roll will never die. Shout at the devil! Live fast die hard baby yeah!

Right before I turned 30. I can still listen to a new band, but it's more like, oh that's fun, rather than enjoying it like I was younger. I still appreciate real song writers like Bob Dylan

Never did. It grew stronger.

This. Some acts and songs hold up better but I don't relate to the image or the lifestyle anymore. It happened over a couple years but there was a definite moment when I just didn't like rock as a whole. It doesn't help that the image and emotions are so forced.
