I upload random weird albums I find from goodwill or record shops or whatever on youtube sometimes when I don't see much about them online. I think first time I've had the actual artist comment on any of them. RIP to this man. Music was this dream-pop indie rock kind of shit that sounds a little generic now but it was released in 2007. It's good and well produced enough that I'm not sure how they didn't pick up steam back then.
RIP this man

well post the album/link then
wanted to at least wait until asked and avoid putting in OP to not look like self promotion
Artist is "Imaginary Airship"
Album titled "Where Dreams Take Flight".
youtube.com
did he die or what
not my cup of tea but it's nicely produced and sounds like something that could've been bigger. they underestimated the music industry ways maybe.
nice channel btw.
Wait, Goodwill sells albums now?
do you have this as a zip file? it sounds great but youtube compresses shit
kind of my thoughts too. not my thing, but not bad.
Nah meant it figuratively
Just first time I got a comment from the artist on couple weird albums I've uploaded
story of most indie bands I guess, music was alright but got literally zero traction online or otherwise
was just a random CD I bought there. Used
yeah same. probably just the time it was released
seems like even the most generic soundcloud/bandcamp artist will net like 1 follower or something now
but this had literally nothing when I originally bought it
I'll see if I can upload somewhere real quick got FLACs
I think pitfall soundtrack has something similar to this
hell yeah dude
mega.nz
There it is on megaupload which is shit but no idea what other places there are now
Has all the cover art scans and stuff included
Not gonna lie this is ass
Really puts the landfill in landfill indie
Damn that's really sad.
ehh wouldn't call it ass
it's definitely not my thing for the music style/genre
but I think it's well produced and well done technically
at least good enough that I'm surprised they didn't any traction at all
especially in 2007 when hipster-shit was more in vogue
nice album, sad that it went nowhere
this album kinda sounds like tally hall
awesome, thanks user!
could you drop a couple of tracks (the best ones).
Pieter Nooten is in the comments section on youtube for basically all the old Xymox stuff especially the tracks from Phoenix claiming all his writing credit was stolen & acting super depressed. He posts a ton of ambient stuff on his channel that gets like 10-50 views per song. Kinda reminded me of that guy.
