What instrument does Any Forums play?

I got my new harmonica in today. It's surprisingly much heavier than all my other ones and also the only blue one I own, I think this is my 11th or 12th in my collection. What kind of intrument(s) do you play?

Do you only play D harmonicas?

>bass
>guitar
>vocals
>piano/synth/keys (very basic)
>drums (very basic)
>alto/tenor saxophone (very basic)
>harmonica

Nope, I have a set of crappy hinese ones that I got to get a better feel for tunes and I have a couple nice German made ones. I have a Hohner special 20 in a C tune and a Seydal 1847 classic in A tune

Nice, I’m a big Dylan fan so love a bit of harmonica.

I play mostly acoustic guitar, here’s my pair of Martins. I have a banjo and digital piano but don’t play then enough.

How do you like the two tone harmonicas? I had been debating on adding one to my collection

Those are both nice as fuck, especially the one on the right. Also I've always wanted to learn banjo, I love Irish folk music and banjo seems like a fun thing to play

Thanks. Aye, I’m quite a fan of pic related, I should learn Brennan on the Moor on banjo.

Nice, I was literally listening to Paddy Doyle's boots this morning, Stuttering lovers is one of my favorites too. What's an average price for a banjo? Do you hav3 any pics of yours?

i dig them, but they ain't for everybody. if you've got some extra cash, buy a mid-grade one. Buying low-grade harmonicas is never a good idea. at least go mid-tier.

I don’t have any pics and not at home but it’s a Deering Goodtime banjo. I paid £400 for it new which I think is a very good price for an American made instrument, but you can get Chinese made ones much cheaper.

Yeah I only got the set of crap ones because it was $45 for 7 and I just wanted to get an idea of the tune sounds for harmonica and have bought better ones for the tunes I like. My Hohner was $60, my Seydel was $95 and my new East top was like $30. Would you recommend the Suzuki brand?

Yeah that sounds about the price range I was figuring, there's an Alto music store near me so maybe I'll try and go by soon

$60 is the starting point for great harps. $30-55 is really good. $15-25 is gonna get you a "meh" harp that'll get the job done. I'd recommend those MIJ Suzuki harps any day of the week. About $65 and plays like velvet. So smooth. Feels sturdy and kinda heavy for its size. great craftsmanship. fuckin love it and probably like it more than my marine band

Cool I'll give those a look thanks for the suggestion, so far I think my $60 Hohner plays the best, my Seydel is nice but the back is wide open so it takes a lot more effort to play

That sounds hard, I've always been a fan of Jazz trumpet myself though

you literally just buzz. then to do the louis armstrong falsetto, you purse your lips and make the elephant noise into the mouthpiece

I know what youre SUPPOSED to do, I just cant do it

I've played so many instruments but don't really care about them. I've played:
>cello
>violin
>piano
>guitar (and el if you count that)
>trumpet
Got really good at them as well, will probably pick them up when I get some more money and my own place to stay. I want to try drums especially.
