It used to be different. People weren't overzealous about their taste and trying to make everything into a classic.
I love You Will Never Know Why but back in 2012 it had a rating of about 3.5, maybe 3.4. Back then, that was pretty good. It was music you should check out.
Now it's sitting at a 4+ and while I love that record it's just fucking actual zoomers trying to bolster records they really like up on the charts. Something can't just be pretty good it has to be a glorified masterpiece or a classic. All because they want their music to be held in the same regard.
