Korn is actually a good band, the worst thing they ever did was publically associate themselves with Limp Bizkit. Being associated with that hack shit is the sole reason why they don't get the respect they deserve

Found a guy who was bullied HARD in school xD

Attached: ffd2iVoBPwyl.jpg (600x338, 40.57K)

Limp Bizkit fans got bullied because they were a cultural punchline nobody respected

Korn was cool but too depressive. Limp Bizkit was more fun and John Otto wax the best musician between both bands.

>John Otto wax the best musician between both bands.
No he wasn't, nobody in Limp Bizkit was the best at anything.
> Limp Bizkit was more fun

Yes they were.
Nice nu-male image btw. How many more you got in your folder?

Nobody else can take them to the matthews bridge

Korn would be great without their singer. Guy has been larping as the tortured artist for his whole life and ruins every song with his bullshit whiny vocqls about how he was bullied, how he hates his mommy, or how dark and twisted his mind is, tortured his existence is etc.
guy has been getting paid to tour the world with his friends and sing songs his whole life. But every album HE'S SURROUNDED BY DARKNESS. Fuckin gimme a break.

Clown is unironically a great song

What should he sing about?

David Silveria was the whole reason anyone knows this band. No one was able to replicate how "groovy" they were for the first 3 or so albums

he should sing about how he overcame those issues and how much he appreciates his good fortune. Maybe sing about how great it is to have been married to a porn star, to tour the world with his best friends, how he still HAS friends from his childhood, the burden of responsibility that comes with being a father, there are endless topics he could screech about. WOuld be good as well because he is presumably a role model for younger people, so seeing a guy like JD say there is a light at the end of the tunnel would mean a lot to some. If he wants to tackle dark topics, like any artist he doesn't need to make himself some martyr, look at "wide awake" by Eminem which, although a different genre is creative though also morbid, i'd even say innovative. How does JD innovative? He doesn't. Absolutely no contrast in lyrics between when they were unknown and now, despite the huge success. Kinda takes away from the original albums as well, well personally it does because i just think JD is a big drama queen who sensationalizes every negative encounter he experiences in order to play up the whole "darkness" aspect.

I absolutely agree. The drumming from ST to FTL , combined with Fieldy is so defining. I knew people who that the "clicking" of the bass was in fact drumming, and they wondered how Silveria could do all that at once haha. I know it's cliche but yes, Korn had groovy beats it wasn't just straight-up metal or rock. SO much of what attracted me to Korn, i now realize was the funky drum and bass. Combined with the two guitars and they could make some really unique music. Then JD comes in and starts crying and yelling and it's like, ffs. A good example of this, i think is the song "thoughtless". Tbf, i don't mind it on the first 3 albums, after FTL they lost me.

> mommy don't hit me imma good boi please no please im cryin:(
I've met only one guy who was big korn fan and he was whiny skinny faggot, no wonder they stick together

holy HELL it's been decades and kornlets are STILL seething over bizkitchads

here I'll lay out the facts for you

korn
>gay
>emo
>twinks with dreadlocks
>best thing the singer does is scat and he doesnt even do that enough

bizkit
>cool
>got swagger
>fred can rap
>fred can sing
>sideways cap (fashion forward but not in a gay way)
>all their songs go hard and totally fuckin slap

I've never seen such a MASSIVE copw in my lifetime
Spoken like true OG, how kornlets can even recover he he

Sugar Gay

fred can rap but all he really raps about is breaking up with his girlfriend. also limp's first two albums slap incredibly hard. after that it's kinda meh.

as far as korn goes, the first three albums were absolute bangers. after that the I'M BULLIED AND DEPRESSED BOO HOO, shit got old. especially since between the release of the first album and the third i had since been stopped being bullied.

also reminder, staind and puddle of mudd were both friends and got put on by fred and johnathan. so idk, that bland faux emo radio rock garbage is because of them and it tarnishes their legacy.

Nice rebuttal, nerd he he

and don't get me started on sugar ray. their first album (RPM i think it was called) was pretty good. not great but i'd definitely go see them live if they were opening for a band i liked. but after that? they completely sold out and openly chased MTV and radio plays.

after their next album completely bombs mcgrath goes on entertainment tonight and the rest is history. lmao.

nah g. i've heard all of their work, seen them live a few times. they fucking suck. ALSO FUN FACT, when i seen staind live 2x in 1999, aaron rogers cried as if on cue during the live playing of on the outside.

everything about both of those bands is so contrived.

can't really expect onions boys who listen to korn and cry them selfs to sleep to understand sugar ray

First album's title is Lemonade and Brownies, my favourite in their discography
Damn they were hard

Such a based post

that's the one. desu sugar ray's mosh pit was one of the more crazy ones i've ever been in. and i've seen pantera and slayer live before. lmao.

dude, all of those bands were marketed to the same audience. same with nickelback. if you were alive back then you'd have likely ended up with a bunch of swag for up coming bands that were on roadrunner or epic, nu metal was just a part of the whole "scene" back then. they'd bundle up the whiteboy blondies who make arena buttrock with the slipknots of the world.

I know right, like holy fuck it's crazy
