Why? Genuine question, I don't really know anything about BSD, so what is it that made you decide to run it? Security? Curiosity?

Not OP but mainly sound. FreeBSD uses OSSv4 which I've found impossible to get working on modern Linux, and ALSA pops or doesn't play any sound. Linux audio is a giant mess.
With that said, I'm tired of being a tinker tranny because I've hopped at least 50 times in the past 90 days, probably will just install a normie distro and get a different sound device.
