Warm white LEDs exist, and should be used here.
They aren't because cold LED's are cheaper to manufacture and more efficient, but it's not a worthy tradeoff here probably.

They installed a bunch of LED lights on the road leading to my job and it's much better lit and more pleasant to drive on now (I work nights).

From my understanding it's the brightness, not the color that matters. But it seems to help. Numbers vary a bit, but there seems to be at the very least a positive correlation.
