Currently switching to firefox.
So what script manager do I even use?
It seems like every single one of them have huge privacy or usability concerns. I used tampermonkey a while ago and it seemed fine, but now I'm a bit lost.

tampermonkey. and no, there are no "privacy" concerns.
you dont need one
use ublock origin and thats it, done, dont touch nothing else up in that settings menu
I use violentmonkey
violentmonkey has had privacy concerns in the past and isn't to be trusted. HOWEVER, privacy policies are legally binding and you can read theirs here: violentmonkey.github.io
tampermonkey is closed source, avoid
this is a viable option but some scripts may not work with it: addons.mozilla.org
tampermonkey is proprietary, greasemonkey is deprecated.
use violentmonkey
moron
fat fuck
> greasemonkey is deprecated.
Source
kys nigger
So far I can tell that I like Chromium extension permission management much more. You can't set up per-site permissions with Firefox, at least I don't see how can I do it.
>there are no "privacy" concerns
it's closed source
>Source
None. I made it up.
Tampermonkey is fast and proprietary
Greasemonkey is slow as shit and open source
Violentmonkey is fast and open source
i also use violentmonkey
why does violentmonkey has the least amount of users
Same reason less people use linux, have high IQ, big dicks, successful.
>open source
They're all open source you dumb nigger.
argument is "i use linux"
thanks for confirming violentmonkey is retarded and has no real world use case.
Sure thing, i am not debating.
Violentmonkey
Violentmonkey works good for me. Sometimes I have to do a hard refresh to get changes to take effect, or open the same page in a new tab but other than that minor annoyance it's doing good.
They're pretty much all open source so just check what they do if you're paranoid. I know violentmonkey isn't spyware. Of course the scripts you install could be - read their source and look at least for obvious signs like unusual URLs or obfuscated data.
