Funny, I've never had any issues reading on-screen text. My phone has a 1440p display at around 5" and text does look smoother but is no more pleasant or less straining to read.
Also, who are you kidding, we all know Apple products that don't have "Pro" in their names (plus a few that do) are content consumption platforms.
