You know you can just install Windows on a Steam Deck, right?

>being this much of a consumer
I only play one online game and thats it, why do you need more?

yea, fuck EAC and BE for sucking windows cock

Amazingly enough, unethical anti-cheat software that relies on illegal access to your computer doesn't work on Linux. The vast majority of offline games run, it's just certain online rapeware titles that have issues, and they shouldn't be played in the first place.

most things that use BE like Planetside 2 run just fine once you install the BE Proton runtime
Ive been playing PS2 through Proton just fine
Literally a skill issue, Any Forumstards filtered

you can but i bet the battery/performance would suffer as a result, no? plus all that bloat would eat up way more disk space

the issue is that the dev has to care enough to enable that with BE
most don't

that's kinda good to hear cuz i wanted to play MCC so i guess ill have to settle for campaign for now

>Buy Linux device
>install Windows
Any Forums should be purged with fire.

>loonix almost being eternal september’d
>valve releases a loonix machine
>millions of people buy it
>nothing works
>completely broken
>millions of Any Forumsermin never uses loonix again
>gnu/linux saved
THANK YOU BASED VALVE

Why would battery suffer?
Windows is less bloat than Ubuntu

now that's some top tier 5D backgammon
im pretty software illiterate so excuse my ignorance, i was just under the impression that whatever version of linux comes with the steam deck is made to optimize it. whatever, if installing windows avoids any headache entirely then i might just end up doing that

People keep claiming this. Do we have ANY info about how much performance is impacted by doing so? Can you even get drivers or can you just install the OS and most of the other stuff will not function making it pointless?

Damn, systemd is THAT bad?

Well, yeah. Why would I want to have to deal with Loonix?

That’s just gonna inflate the total cost.
I’d rather stick with my Switch. Wouldn’t care if it’s not a Switch Pro at this rate.

>battery/performance would suffer as a result
No one's taking this shit outside so battery is not an issue.

some of us go on planes and shit

it respects your freedoms
it has an accessible and well documented administration model
a lot of use cases just werk instead of requiring some obscure proprietary freeware or port of unix software that's unmaintained and unworkable in a lot of cases
incidentally, why would you want to deal with windows?

>illegal access to your computer
jesse what the fuck are you talking about?>

No one who travels often is autistic enough to have a steam deck.
