I thought it would be fucking dumb too until I actually tried it, turns out it's amazing
touchpad and cursor operates context menus and all the small stuff, and then other hand rests near the side of the screen where I can just reach over with my thumb for side menu garbage that everything has now and big controls like dialog boxes or start menu shit

I love soft rim. I got some 3rd party soft rim tips that work on my T440p. They're slightly less tall than the official soft rim tips for the older non-island keyboards, which fits the T440p keyboard better than the old IBM ones which do still work.
