Abstraction taken too far. I also think the whole notion of "just keep going, you won't understand everything" as you're learning breeds mis-understandings of the usage of certain features based on their names alone. Like, people think that it sounds like it'll work, and they try it, they get an expected result, move on to finish work. People neglect to see what it REALLY is under the hood and the result is a pile of abstraction that just doesn't need to be there.

I think everybody should start with machine language and work up from there so they can get reasonable expectations of the higher level stuff

incredibly based and well worded
saved

They fixed the issues of C++ then C++ stole the interesting stuff (thus making Rust redundant) . The last big reason to use Rust is for its package management/build system. If C++ fixes that then Rust becomes useless outside of WASM

All non-trivial abstractions, to some degree, are leaky.

> Rust user is taller and more handsome
> C user is a manlet
Checks out

All trannies should be burned at the stake using R*st tutorial books as fuel

>man with beard and tits
>>more handsome
fag

Kys tranny

It's probably phone's autocorrect and he tried to say hilarious

When the fuck, and why is Rust associated with trannies?

>C and C++ are literal subhumans
>Rust looks like Gigachad in a dress

Rust is why Firefox is better than Chrome. Google shills hate Mozilla.

oh looks it's the guy who said he won't hire the programmer that doesn't know what while (*s++ = *t++) means

>while (*s++ = *t++)
It means you should use a better language.

so what does it do?

nvm

More like abortion not taken far enough.

>Google shills hate Mozilla.
Yeah, figured as much.

It's an NSA psyop: without C/C++ providing them with daily CSE's they will have a hard time watching you masturbate, so they funded a FUD campaign against Rust, trying to associate it with "uncool" themes like LGBTQ+. In reality, while there are transgender programmers using Rust (just like any other language), yearly polls shows 95%+ of Rust programmers are straight white cis men.

> while (*s++ = *t++)
It's a buffer overflow waiting to happen, such a code was barely acceptable back in the 70s, but it's completely unacceptable nowadays.

>Abstraction taken too far
Can you explain to me how Rust's borrow checker is somehow more abstract than C++'s dumpster fire excuse for memory management?
