Any point to learn C in 2022 ?
Any point to learn C in 2022 ?
No, better wait for 2023 when there will be a point.
If you're transgender you're better off learning Rust
The thing I like about C is its interoperability with literally every language
Yes, it is a general purpose programming language and if you're looking to generally and purposefully program computers, you should learn it.
Elaborate?
Why if Rust exists.
Not unless you're dealing with existing C code.
Rust is general, but it doesn't have a purpose
It is pointless to learn Rust because almost nobody uses it, almost no jobs which require Rust while C is still very widely used for lower-level programming.
jesus cope harder you insecure little bitch.
t. professional C embedded programmer.
sure, it's a nice language and something of a basis for many of the most used languages.
Rust will likely become more popular over time.
It is our duty to not let it become popular.
embedded/hobby
People use it as a means to learning about computer hardware. But it's a pretty poor way of doing that because the important bits aren't adequately expressed in C. Too high level.
But it's a simple language. It's not that much of a waste of time.
it's useful if you're doing embded dev or writing a kernel. Otherwise learn something else like C++
why do women do this
That's not woman user
Why? It’s a good language

C and C++ are perfect foundations for anyone trying to get into programming. If you get good at C and C++, every other language will be really easy to understand
