I use headphones too, this is not the issue. When I use the er2se I do so due the portability and good audio. I'm more interested in knowing if anons have this same problem and if they do something to mitigate it (is more periodic ear cleaning necessary or something, or my genetic lottery sucks that bad?)
Caleb Wilson
Earwax is really complicated, because too little or too much can be genetic, but too much also might be an indicator of an ear infection that can only be diagnosed by a proper doctor.
So if you really want to solve this, go see an ear doctor and tell him that you believe the earwax is building up too fast and you want to know if your ear is fucked or is there nothing you can do. This is the only way to know.
cra is an upgrade to the zsn don't listen to retards and shizos
Jackson Davis
SS+ for Sibilant Shit plus tinnitus
Landon Brooks
CRA is a slight upgrade to EDX Pro (same as Tanchjim Oxygen) One could say that EDX Pro is the progenitor of overhyped resonant chi fi shit
Charles Parker
That's Tin hifi user
Asher Young
Goddess. Earphones, IEMs, Closed-backs, Open-backs, near-field monitors and speakers have different use cases and different sound signatures. Headphones (either closed or open back) are no replacement for earpones or iems.
If you want to tell someone to grow up, then tell them to upgrade to speakers/monitors.
Jeremiah Phillips
Good cheap aliexpress tips to leave on my iem's when I'm too lazy to switch my nice ones on (for small ear canals)?
The only headphones that are worth it are koss ksc75 and you are a fucking retard if you say otherwise.
Camden Rivera
I like my cras, they are an upgrade to my best iem which is zsn no one can tell me a better one in the price range anyway
Hunter Moore
Swap to earbuds for long periods of time/work. Use iems when you need noise isolation/want to enjoy the music.
Luis Peterson
too bad the retarded earhook design is uncomfirtable
Hudson Gutierrez
I mean $1-2 ones for iems that come with shitty stock ones. Just for when I don't want to find whatever iem's my nice ones are on and swap. effort.
Isaac Sanders
what price range? up to $12?
Jose Davis
>*laughs in HD 681* My excuse is that the Superlux was cheaper than KSC75. Also I am a bassnigger, KSC75 has no bass.
>cotton can damage your iem I would not advocate using cotton mods on more expensive ones, but who gives a fuck if $15 CRA gets "broken" from cotton - just buy another one!
Cameron Baker
Does diffuse field tuning actually sound good with music?
Oliver Gutierrez
yeah more like 15
Logan Flores
$3 AliExpress band and you have the perfect lightweight headphones
Gavin Reed
mh755 samsung/akg buds apple earpods
all shit on CRA
Jose Allen
he means if you put it behind the filter, not in the tip
link? could never find it
Matthew Robinson
>mh755 discontinued, can't even get original with sbh cause that gets counterfeit too >Sam/akg bought one, sounds love me trash, clearly fake as well >earpods >apple so there isn't anything quarks look better than mh anyway and I ordered one too going to take 3 months to get here..
>quarks look better than mh anyway and I ordered one too retarded people keep making poor decisions one after the other kinda sad but understandable
Connor Kelly
cool. don't care will keep enjoying my cra will put cotton in it
Xavier Hill
just put cotton in your ears you won't be needing them soon anyway
Cooper Rodriguez
The clips suck you're supposed to do one of these with it one of these Retrospekt headband ($30) Portapro headband ($30) comes with ksc35 drivers and folds Sportapro headband ($22) comes with ksc35 drivers and folds Parts Express headband ($5) I have them all I like the Sportapro and Parts Express headband the best (both for being most portable) but that might be unpopular opinion. I don't have the issue some people do with hair getting stuck in Portapro/Sportapro/Parts Express. Retrospekt is the solution to that though.
Get a ksc75 bro HD681s are budget over ears good for what they are but KSC75 is the endgame on ear pretty much and the endgame for everything you do with headphones that doesn't involve music imo
Nobody knows how earbuds are supposed to measure, not even the people making them.
Jeremiah Cox
>>amazon.com/Parts-Express-Stereo-Lightweight-Headphones/dp/B0002KQZJS This is the Parts Express headband, Yurops can get it cheaper right from the Parts Express website too I think. There's another style of cheap chink headband compatible with the KSC-75 too, it gets mistaken with Parts Express sometimes because of an amazon seller. That one's alright too. Just be careful with KSC75 to not detach/reattach the drivers from stuff too often and when you do pull them off along the way the thing is aligned not against it. If you switch between a headband and ear clips a lot it wears down over time.
Robert Wood
you're just engaging in pointless demagogy out of ignorance if an earbud doesn't have a severe sub bass rolloff then measurements are incorrect
obsoleted by CRA... not even memeing, he unironically the only reviewer ranked it S tier
Michael Gomez
don't get how cra supposed to fuck my ears when I had zsn for years and I'd didn't fuck my ears just don't listen on high volume incidentally, is there any way to reduce bass without eq? I don't have peq on my phone and its a bit much would blocking the vent do anything?
bggar and PW ranked it pretty good of course bggar moved onto his 10 collabs right after so he doesn't even answer questions about cra anymore, and PW said treble was too much for him but then posted rgs foam mod I think
>if an earbud doesn't have a severe sub bass rolloff then measurements are incorrect Well that's obvious. I meant the treble measurements and treble target, you can't just use an IEM target for something that's not an IEM. I didn't even open his link.
Austin Morgan
So the KXXS, Starfields, Aria, and Kato are all the same? What's the point?
Jayden Nguyen
People will buy ANYTHING if you pair it with an anime girl.
Nathaniel Smith
It literally doesn't matter because they are all obsoleted by CRA.
Jaxson Gutierrez
No point crying over spilt milk. Katobros won, decisively and unequivocally.
Jason Cox
same as any other company, to trick you I to buying more
>is it just psychological? Placebo effect is very real, yes, and can amplify the feeling of tinnitus because your are concentrating really hard to hear it. Though keep in mind that literally everybody has tinnitus and bluepilled normies can go their entire lives without realising they were hearing it all the time in silence. In my country we even call it "piercing silence" and everyone I know understands what it means.

he thinks it has better technicalities than the zex pro despite both using same driver
Dominic Ross
I don't know if I had it from birth but I can't fall asleep unless its silent and I hear it
Ryan Thompson
>zex pro meant to say edx pro

well, I don't know what technicalities are but cool I guess

technicalities should be the least of concern for a cra user

Jose Rodriguez
>BL03 lol. I think I could do better for the kind of music I like. EQ the bass down 5db. Anything below $100 is a sidegrade for BL03
Easton Young
I agree with If you really want something "different" get CRA with your disposable savings.
Aaron Gonzalez
I disagree with Do not get CRA under any circumstances, it's poorly tuned and causes permanent hearing damage.
Jacob Jenkins
Thanks guys. If it's a software fix that costs $0 I'll take it.
Nolan White
There's a hardware fix but it's $50. Use LSQ 170hz Q 0.55 -3 to 6db according to preference.
I bought these on a whim from a Slickdeals discount a while ago. They suck. Not even worth it to me as a backup pair. They stick out so far on the sides making them incompatible with any physical activity. Plus they catch all the wind noise from being so un-aerodynamic.
he's genuinely retarded he's measuring how an earbud would sound through a bud to iem adapter projection of someone who's going to kill himself when ringing becomes unbearable
Nah, I got them for the ANC and sound quality and they definitely deliver, especially for the $60 I paid. I'd never work out in them, if you need angry black men rapping in your ears to burn fat, then you were NGMI.
Adrian Powell
how are you supposed to do it? buy a separate rig for earbuds?
Jack Cook
>how are you supposed to do it? put it into a dummy ear > buy a separate rig for earbuds? or don't graph at all if you don't have the means according to his graph Moondrop Chaconne is 8.3dB louder at 20hz than 1000hz. That's top shelf retardation and I would've been embarrassed to publish that but apparently it's not a problem for RG.
Sebastian Turner
why dont someone mention it to him you guys always shit on everything but never actually tell anyone any useful information to improve
I'm telling you to ignore his buds database for it essentially being worthless and refer to tgx78 measurements instead, that's useful information why would I tell that to him, he's a grown boy and should've figured that graphing how different buds sound through a bud to iem adapter is a worthless endeavor
David Ortiz
thats due to a destitute jannie called Fission, he might be unable to even stand up due to his own weight
im just observing i dont have any buds and the only one i ordered is the stellar which no one graphs anyway, and its gonna be here in probably 3 months cause of chineese ny i dont even know how buds supposed to sound
Andrew Hernandez
>i dont even know how buds supposed to sound Like shit. People use them because non existent isolation enhances the perception of soundstage and allows them to hear people
Oliver Flores
huh... i guess thats alright for 3$ my iems are half out of my ears anyway when im just at the computer, it gets very sweaty sitting all day with them in
Christopher Adams
which cra mod should i use should i just stick to cotton
Let's say I bought fake MH755. Okay. They still sound better than my CRA. CRA is worse than some £1 chink knockoffs. Now what? Why are you guys so fervent in your defence and shilling of a mass produced Chinese product?

Leo Clark
damn, what will i do without my 2 dollars that i would have to spend on filters and tuning foam anyway to make it as good
I wasn't saying that at all, I was talking about the video with the fake sbh20. Unrelated to that graph.
Tyler Ortiz
give me cheapest the least fatiguing iem or earbud, I love how cra sounds with my music but watching loud vtubers/streamers /videos which all have different levels and no fucking consistency or proper editing makes my ears actually hurt fuck why can't these people at least use a compressor anyway I can get a compressor on my end so my ears don't get nuked all the time? its a problem I have with all iems I have, best I figured to dump bass and treble on eq almost completely down and run at 5% volume or I start getting headaches after couple hours
Nathaniel Flores
>AliExpress >"""Official Store""" >They're all just recursive dropshipper Do you all burgers enjoy overpaying? Begging to get chinked? It's just under $6 if you find a real uncucked seller.
yea but the 2-4k region and id rather something with less peaks... is there no way to have something like quarks but without the 3k peak and more gradual trebble roll off
James Miller
Retarded malaydog bro farang don't have shopee/lazada
If my phone can pair with my AZ09 Pro but my PC can't see it does it mean I need a bluetooth dongle or something? Using whatever onboard bluetooth is on my shitty ASRock motherboard.
Asher Powell
whats the most neutral most flattest or mid centered iem earbud thats cheap
Ryan Sanders
how do i import squigs into REW?
Aiden Allen
Have you attached the antennae to the motherboard? Should be located at the rear I/O area
Cameron Scott
er2se dunno if theres something cheaper, t2+ i guess?
Lincoln Smith
>er2se >cheap >t2+ >neutral
Tyler Morgan
Yep and use BT all the time. Just won't find my AZ09 Pro.
Tyler Lopez
>100$ wew
Ryder Cook
Chinks dont make good flat neutral iems thats what you have to pay. Er2se periodically goes on sale for less on Adorama.
Joshua Scott
Why are there so many fucking targets from literal whos?
Evan Mitchell
eh... thanks i think ill try get into eq and modding.... not ready to pay so much
Matthew Wood
target = preference
Benjamin Jones
Finally got my CRA after it got lost in the mail impressions: Only sent me 1 size small eartip, which isn't a big deal, but its not the best first impression when I wear S and SS. If I hypothetically didn't already own a bunch of tips it would be unusable. Definitely noticed treble harshness out of the box, but the first tracks I listened to were tracks that would bring that out. I pretty much immediately modded them with low density tuning foam + tanchjim filters and applied eq to the ~5k and ~8k. Sound like pretty good bass nigger iem's now. The nozzles don't go quite deep enough to seal with any tips but I can get it decent by wearing larger than normal size. That's a personal problem my ears are picky with fit. I'm not a fan of V signatures in general but for $12 they will serve just fine as my bassnigger iem's for the small handful genres I think that sounds good on & movies. I think its a good buy for someone who isn't going to daily drive anything with a V signature but wants one to mess around with. FWIW the bass sounds good without totally annihilating the mids.
Parker Cook
>Only sent me 1 size small eartip what the fuck? was it not packaged properly?
also you know any non v shape cheap ones?
Ethan Fisher
Yeah everything was normal, just with a extra medium tip replacing one of the small ones. Not that I would ever use them they're kinda bad tips but lol. Most chinkshit is tuned V its what chink ears like. You start seeing more neutral tuned iems around the price the etymotics are.
Chase Howard
>non-v shape kz edr2? doesnt look that v-shaped
Kevin White
I don't have a problem with the targets on any level but linguistic nuance. In this community targets are just preferences and it would be better to label them as such. Calling them targets creates pretensions of, or brings up negative associations with, authority that's irritating to a lot of people.
quarks looks flat enough i guess if you eq out the 3k mountain
Noah Lewis
Tin P1+ probably has the flattest graph I've seen but it's not really cheap
Matthew Taylor
are quarks a meme or indeed as good as some people claim?
Jason Rivera
>not on the official store >30$ on some other store with 6 sales, everything else is 0 sales is it weird this freaks me out they look real flat tho, except that weird peak in the end, would buy if they were 15...
i mean they are cheap, probably the smallest iem, and look somewhat flat if you eq the 3k also you get a waifu in the box
a target is something you are trying to hit. that's why some of them are called "preference targets".
Noah Gonzalez
the graphs ive seen werent from squig.link all of them were just jpegs/png so comparisons might be difficult
Daniel Adams
RG ranks them D+, "decently tuned bright-neutral" there are plenty of pretty good reviews on headfi and whatnot, but i really dont know if theyre huffing their own farts over there lots of reviews on youtube too, most prefer tanyas to them though (except they are x2 price and a lot more bass lower minds and trebble)
I don't know much about hi-fi and IEMs in general, I'm just looking for a cheap replacement for my KZ Zsn Pro since my cable broke and I thought that it would be nice to try something different.
Nolan Cruz
quark chads cant stop winning most popular moondrop iem
also cra cable is compatible with zsn, but quarks cable is built in
Angel Nelson
The purpose of a target is to be hit, so the word carries the authority that it must be hit. While attaching the word preference mutes that intrinsic assertion it remains. Some people will chafe at it, because why does Joe Blogg's target deserve to be hit? Additionally, many more closely associate the word more with government and corporate jargon than with the word itself. I have extensive experience in politicising and depoliticising language to align with directives thanks to my exceptionally tedious gig as a corporate writer specifically concerned with creating style guides with whole sections regarding association charged words when appealing to broad vs special populations and all sorts of minutiae relating to those concerns. God, my life is fucking thrilling.
Logan Cook
That's the T1+, P1+ is $100+ and has nothing in common besides the brand itself
Connor Watson
oh, too tired to read the alphabet well fuck that even more, im getting into eq its probably easier to eq down than to eq up
Dylan James
>The purpose of a target is to be hit, so the word carries the authority that it must be hit. no it doesn't. you're inventing a lot of bullshit to complain about something that nobody else has trouble understanding.
Isaiah Powell
Nah it's worse than cra and i don't even like cra a whole lot. Would rather use mh755 or vk4v1.
Jack Garcia
you already have those budget kings, why'd you buy the cra bro?
Jace Edwards
yeah, I was considering the cra, but started to wonder if quarks could offer me something that the zsn pro/cra couldn't.
Caleb Gomez
I got the jabra elite 75t's for 120 cad on sale from 200 a month ago. I got my koss ksc75 for 25 bucks 2 years ago. charging the jabras are annoying, the sound is good but the koss is still better being open back. I only use the jabra for calls. be like me, get the ksc75's and enjoy life.
Zachary Cox
finding more about modding so if you tape off the vent it increases bass if you increase the vent it decreases bass found something like this or you can use a rubber band there
Left one earned them $15860, right one earned them $42750.
Nathaniel Price
its something like this quarks have a lot less bass, flatter highs that drop off after 10k, only problem is the 3k peak you can eq out if it bothers you, so its more neutral and less fatiguing id guess
cras have very good trebble at high frequencies which can be tiring and big bass but compared to zsn the peaks are less so technically its an upgrade, but its not going to be much different
user said this combination hisses a while ago. I don't get any more hiss than the typical low volume bluetooth hiss or my other devices* *ran through a qdc -> mmcx adapter
thats pretty nice i guess, how noticeable is it? is that the PRO version of the bluetooth thing?
Luis Morales
Yeah az09 pro Only noticeable at really low volumes or low-medium volumes if the audio is really thin like spoken word. Good enough for wireless since = on the go = need to drown out background noise = usually going to have volume up anyways. I'm not connected to a source that supports aptX adaptive so it'd presumably be better quality since the pro one supports it even though they don't advertise it. Same level of hiss on my headphones, which is what I got it for.
Landon Taylor
>Kato more than 2x the price of Aria I really can't justify it from the graphs but the Aria looks pretty gaudy with those gold accents
Chase Miller
it's something you wear, so the appearance matters.
Dominic Long
A hiss is a hiss. Other bluetooth devices with hiss are unacceptable as well.
Robert Lopez
why based
Ethan Ward
cool, thanks user you ever try them with a PC?
Bentley Fisher
cras slightly hiss on wire too, I ordered dongle for it
Juan Garcia
Every tws has audible hiss at minimum volume. I don't think its possible not to have it. Thats normal if you're plugging it into a phone or computer's sound card. They're both noisy places even if the chip is good. Just means its more sensitive than what you were using before it. Even the cheap dongles are way better sources it'll fix that when you get it in the mail.
Andrew Evans
yea in fucking April... lol this Chinese NY fucked me
my kBear stellar won't even get sent till the 10th, they took off like more than a week ago for the holiday
Jack Ramirez
Qudelix doesn't hiss so it's not inherent to bluetooth, just to amps TWS use.
Joshua Mitchell
quedelix also costs 10 times more
Jacob Flores
You either have auditory hallucination (my condolences) or more likely to be underage (fuck off faggot).
Sebastian Morales
F The step up in quality from from phone/pc source to even the cheapest ex Real world most phones don't modulate volume low enough for it to be audible over anything so it covers my portable needs. I'm using a wire if I'm worried about fidelity anyways.
I don't think he's comparing them other than to say it doesn't have audible hiss at low volumes. quedelix is a box you plug a wired headphone/iem into that then pairs to a device, az09 pro are dongles that convert headphones/iems to ""true wireless"" where there's no wire or anything involved. They're for totally different use cases, ignoring price and quality.
Mason Garcia
If you’re a true audiophile, you should be able to guess the price of thread two IEM
You need BT 5.2 and BLE. Most likely ur pc uses older bt version
Adam Jackson
purple 50 yellow 25
Zachary King
Is bone conduction good yet?
Adrian King
>flat >er2se This. The hardest pill to swallow for /iemg/. Anyone who disagree is poor, deaf, and have mental illness
Andrew Gomez
not him but if my phone only has 5.1 I can't use them?
Luis Barnes
of course I'm fucking poor, why else would I be here
Leo Cook
Diffuse field target is all you need.
Camden Lopez
diffuse my ass cause I'm constipated and only +10db on bass can get it flowing again (I wish cheap iems existed with something other than Harman v shape)
Adam Thomas
quarks are actually very close to diffuse when I look at it wonder if I can find how to vent it so bass drops maybe mod some holes into the tips
well shit. figures. i am going to literally shit in my pants, right here right now if p1 costs $30
Jaxson Turner
and what makes diffuse more valid than harman? also holy fuck 755 has EVEN MORE BASS than cra, god jesus save me
Nolan White
I’m not him, but I suppose he was advising you against reviewer targets, not Harman. Reviewer targets are IEF, Banbeu, Precog and so on. DIffuse Field is considered the reference but bear in mind that it might sound bass-light and quite bright to most people. Harman 2017 and 2019 have a pretty high bass shelf. Harman 2013 is probably still the best Harman target.
First time posting here. My music taste ranges from female japanese vocals-centered rock music to western doom metal. I very much emphasize on the instruments themselves but I don't want the vocals, especially that of the japanese singers, to lose quality.
oh no I don't consider review targets anything other than personal preference also putting quarks on the diffuse graph makes me a lot more excited to get them
Liam Peterson
>$999 no thanks, my budget is $25
Michael Taylor
should probably look up actual reviews that focus on similar library that said cra is pretty good regardless, don't know anything about db1
Ryan Robinson
why are you so fervently shilling busted, old, unusable shit like mh755? it's harmud shit that rapes your ears with 3k gain.
Zachary Barnes
that's sub-bass
Luis Cooper
>*heaviest
Jack Evans
Tanya after eq, the highs roll off pretty fast.
Grayson Edwards
MEST is interesting but nuking upper mids isn't natural sounding. you're gaining artificial clarity by trading very smooth response in one region for a crater in another.
Aaron Nguyen
to destroy your hearing, yes.
Carter Murphy
Tanya if you care about vocals more. CRA if you care about metal more.
Jayden Gomez
I got it to work by repeatedly pairing and unpairing. behaves and pairs between devices normally now.
Jace Thompson
katobwos....we won?
Anthony Sanders
Tin T2 plus
Nathan Garcia
any earbud bros around? what's the difference between different vido colors? user from several threads ago suggested red one, and its the more expensive one too, does it have different driver? wish there were graphs
Katobros... there is no point... we already lost...
Bentley Powell
Some guy in the head-fi earbud thread measured them but good luck finding anything in that thread its massive. They are all measurably different, and I think same driver for all.
Aaron Thompson
found this guess I'll look into it more tommorow this is the only review
He's probably speaking V shaped relative to the other ones &/or accounting for earbuds having inherently weak bass.
Nathaniel Rivera
I mean he says also tat the differences are pretty small either way but on the graph the white most bassy one and the black least bassy one is only a couple db apart it does look like a tangible difference you could get from tuning foam...
one comment said they they might just be recolors now, but on shops they cost different, red ones more expensive, white ones least maybe just china things
maybe I'll get the white ones if you're saying earbud bass is weak after the cra I'm getting scared of bass
Liam Baker
Usually bass is pretty tame earbuds don't seal on your ear like iems do.
Easton Cox
What cabul is that user?
Jason Sanchez
oxytrash stock cable
Isaac Sanders
Hey that's me. Don't bother with any Vido other than Red and White....and even White is just shittier Red.
Ethan Peterson
Ew that's kind of disgusting. Looks good with the CRA though.
Christian Miller
is red just white with more treble? cause I'm fine with less trebble you know any Ali shops that are good for them or is anything fine? on the shop I found whites cost 2$ and reds over 3$ which is kinda interesting
David Gomez
Tanya or memedrop quarks? I want a pair of cheapo bullets
Isaac Flores
tanya or mh755
Noah Collins
ordered quarks cause of this no idea what I'm doing though, the lines seem pretty when they align Tanya's get a lot of accessories though
quarks have impressive timbre from graph I wonder if there's a vent near nozzle since I would block those and use quarks for music production if that's the case.
Carson Morris
apparently there isn't a vent at all
Leo Nelson
EDR1 is bass+sparkle 3k-6k-(8k) is the average old earphones tuning which are still popular. audiobudget.com/product/KZ/EDR2 EDR2 is probably warmer on mids but if you want much warmer mids you might want to try faaeal poppy which has nicer timbre (no shout on any genre).
Levi Myers
oh that sucks. that must mean the bass is weak or unable to move back and forth.
