-Learn how to social life.
-You'll be alone for most of the rest of your life. learn how to deal with it now, or suffer the consequences later.
-It all boils down to money.
-People always and only judge a book by its cover, so make sure yours is pretty.
-If you're not tall and good looking, don't waste your time trying to date. Go get a job instead.
-You'll know you have become attractive enough to make dating worth it when girls start asking you out.
-Don't stick your dick in crazy.
-If you ever manage to stick your dick in something, wear a condom. Make sure it's gone once you're done, spermjacking is a real thing that happens.
-Save your money, learn to invest, don't buy stupid shit, for the love of god don't get loans for stupid shit. Learn how to economics, and get really fucking good at it.
-Credit becomes useful only when you can actually afford it. Don't be the dipshit that maxes out a credit card and then can't pay it back.
-Don't get student loans. Only go to college if you're sure that you can earn a living with your degree.
-Don't flaunt your money unless you have something concrete to gain from it (no, chicks don't count). All it does is attract thieves and the IRS.
-Just cause you can buy it doesn't mean you can afford it.
-Stay away from alcohol. I'm not joking.
-If I have to tell you to stay away from drugs, you're NGMI.
-Health is your number 1 priority. Death sucks, but you know what sucks even more than ending up in a grave? Limping your way to the grave.
-When in doubt, asshole your way out. You'll be respected more than if you were to pussy your way out.
-If you don't feel like it, just say no. If they don't get it, use fists.
-clean your home, wash yourself, trim your beard, eat good food, sleep well. Health aside, these have a huge impact on your psyche. If you live like a bum, you'll get depression.

it probably varies greatly by board. Any Forums is probably younger, while boards like /k/ and /x/ are probably older.

i mainly do psyches so thats not really an issue desu

-You're an adult, everything is your responsibility now. If the dishes aren't done, they will remain dirty until you yourself go clean them. If the laundry isn't done, you don't have clean clothes.
-It's a never ending stream of chores. If you don't do them, they pile up beyond what you can handle. Don't get to that point.
-Use checklists. You will eventually get overwhelmed, so it's important to have a guide.
-Always deal with one thing at a time (don't half ass 2 things, whole ass 1 thing).
-No one will come and save you. Learn to handle your own shit.
-Don't expect people to regulate your behavior or to hold you accountable.
-People generally don't give a shit about you unless they have something to gain or you bother them.
-If you have to choose between relying on someone and not relying on someone, always choose the second option.
-Always do things in your own best interest. Always expect others to do the same.
-Learn how to maintain and repair everything that you use, and git gud at it. Otherwise, you'll have to live with that leaky tap or faulty outlet until the holy drunken tradesman decides he has time for you weeks after you called him, does a half assed job, and charges you 150 bucks for it.
-keep your documents in order.
-bureaucrats and paper pushers will be the bane of your existence. Always start from the premise that you're dealing with a retard, so if you want to solve anything, always bring all the paperwork that they might even suggest it would be necessary, and make several copies.
-there is no free lunch. If someone's buddy buddy with you all of a sudden, they want something from you.
-pull the fucking trigger. If you have a genuinely good idea and a plan, do it.
-You can ignore reality, you can't ignore the consequences of ignoring reality.
-trouble comes in 3s. First you get a hint, then you get a warning, then you get smacked in the face. Learn the pattern.
