The superior bar

Replaces squat and deadlift with one move, while sparing your spine.

I got a hex bar instead of getting a rack, weightlifting bar and bench when the gyms are closing. Used them as my main lower body exercise. Together with the pull-up/dip tower, makes a good bare bones budget gym.

Every time I've tweaked something while deadlifting, it's been with the trap bar

still should wear a belt when you go heavy

based and final truth pilled.

>just do squat and deadlift
>become strong at trap bar without even touching it
>just do trap bar
>can’t squat or deadlift for shit

Meme bars are fun but they’re not a substitute for the barbell

Saved me from destroying my back with deadlifts. I'm starting to believe deadlifts only make you better at deadlifting, they don't really do anything

Thanks, trash picker

They are only good for farmer's walks

They're are sold everywhere with 30mm

how do you do squats with hexbar?
or is this saying the hexbar deadlift is a 2 for 1 movement?

They literally are actually. That's the whole reason they exist. They target the body differently than a straight bar.

>stand straight up, no navigating around knees or dragging up shins
>weight is balanced around you
>grip is neutral off to the side
>shoulders are at a natural position not rolled forward
Hex bar is superior in every way.

Hex bar DL is very comparable to a squat. The weight is centered and you essentially just stand straight up. The difference is you hold the weight rather than rest it on your back so it hits some different muscles, but your legs don't really notice.

Just use the low bars and stand up. It's stupid easy.

so are the upper handles for farmers walks?

> trap/hex bar

What are you crocs wearing pensioners in rehab?

Then they're not a substitute, they're an alternative.

10/10 best way to do shrugs. Unfortunately the hex bar at my old gym only held 4pl8 so thats what I had to max out at. My new gym doesn't have one (yet, I'm nagging them).

Shrugs.
