Typically, the job centre takes 66%. You get your bennies and they give you a third of what you actually earned. So you do end up with more overall, but not a huge amount more. Fun fact: if you get carers allowance meaning 35 hours plus a week for someone registered profound needs they take that 100% out of your main bennies. But they do give you 60 quid a week.
