farmers walk

just doing barbell lifts is enough to build forearm strength

No, do inverse curls

lots of other lifts will get you great forearms while building other muscles up

Retarded exercise

Do deadhangs for good grip
Do false grip deadhangs for insane wrist/forearm strength and flexibility

yeah but you have to go heavy and treat them like any other big lift.

I got to a 4 pl8 dead double overhand and my forearms didn't really grow until I started doing wrist curls and wrist rollers

Not OP but inverse curls seem really good
Should I expect to use more or less weight than regular curls?
maybe the same weight can be used

I think it probably varies with the individual. I’m assuming some people grip the bar like fuck to push through reps and those people obviously get better forearm gains. I get 0 pump nor burn in the forearms unless I isolate them and when I do it’s very significant. I know burn doesn’t equal gains but there’s clearly a difference in how hard they’re being worked in barbell work vs isolations

heard this help, gud mourns

Thanks for the answer brah
I'll try both the BB and DB versions
Sorry if I'm retarded but do wrist curls or inverse curls also strengthen wrists?
I have fragile wrists from years of doing bodyweight dips on flat hands like a retard and I'm trying to solve it. I wonder if stronger forearms wouldn't do the trick

> wrist roller
> barbell wrist curls
> hammer curls
> captains of crush

Behind the back wrist curls are friendlier on the joints and give a good pump. Strengthwise it depends on the type you want to develop, e.g. static holds, crushing, pinch

im doing ~30 kg barbell wrist curls and sliding them down all the way to my fingertips
before curling them back in for a big forearm squeeze and been training my forearms
hard for many years, never have i had problems with my joints like ever at all

can probably do more but then my reps would be shit

Thanks OP. I was about to make a thread about this.

What exercises does Any Forums recommend to strengthen my grip and my wrists for the purpose of increasing everyday functional strength?

Right now I do:
wrist curls (supinated, reverse, ulnar, etc.)
plate holds
plate catches

I used to use the CCs but I stopped when I read that it doesnt help much irl aside from deadlifting

Go on...

>Suitcase holds with a bar sitting on safety bars of the squat rack
the balance needed is nuts and it blasts your arms and core
>heavy holds
Farmers walks, holding a heavy deadlift rep for as long as you can etc
