I'm actually writing a short story and there's a character who wakes up from a coma that lasts for a little over a year, and I've got a couple of questions
>What kind of physical therapy can people get when they're in comas? I heard about some type of electric muscle stimulation to help prevent muscle atrophy but it's hard to find information on it. Can people just give physical joint exercises to the comatose patient?
>When they wake up, what's their physical condition like (assuming everything's recoverable)? i.e. how long will it take for them to walk properly again? Can they talk right when they wake up?
