Soul Calibur has had a bunch of weird crossovers
Soul Calibur II even had console exclusive crossovers. PS2 got Heihachi, Gamecube got Link and XBOX got Spawn.

The devil sends him backwards in time to claim Soul Edge. In the end it turns out it was just a ruse since the intention was for Spawn to get mindbroken by Soul Edge, but Spawn senses the evil in the sword so he just yeets it and returns to the current year.
