It started with the Playstation so early titles are stiff, I would recommend playing Last Raven to see if the gameplay interests you and then playing 4, For Answer, and Verdict Day for the increasing fluidity in combat and movement in general. Also the story never stops getting more and more retarded so its honestly fun in that regard alone as a series
