nice thread btw, I particularly enjoy bunking in destroyed houses in the stalker games

Dying Light.

Dying light. That game was pretty comfy when you weren't being hunted by volatiles

Dying Light room was nice, with all the little things added to the room as you do side quests or main story. You can even learn to play a guitar.
Metro Exodus train was also comfy.

VTMB.

Hunters Dream
Sly Cooper hideouts
Metroid Prime save rooms

>Exodus
I know it's in the name, but I will never not hate the game that left the Metro behind.

Hah.

It's comfy BECAUSE you get hunted volatiles. An element of danger is important for comfiness. The looming danger of zombies and when you successfully escape from volatiles into a safe area is what creates the comfiness and relief now that you know you're not in danger

Technically a safe room.

Still pisses me off that the bed has NO SHEETS
I get they are vampires, but why not have sheets!?? And yes I know it's a shabby motel of sorts but come on!
Also, blinds on the windows, maybe? You know, for that sunlight thing. And sheets also for the sunlight, like in Preacher, just in case.

user, take a look at the floor. It has wood panels that they put up against the windows.

Also the best ship in the worst game.

RDR 2 camp grounds

Nah it was one of the best games ever until you realize "wait a minute, the AI does the EXACT same thing every single time, and also runners and volatiles respawn infinitely and always at the exact same distance from you"
You just never notice it for a while because the game is genuinely scary until you figure it out. I really did not want to go out at night, but once you face everything head on the game's immersion quickly falls apart, especially after you unlock the grappling hook which destroys the game's atmosphere, yet it's stupid to not use it.

I hated everyone but Arthur.
Also the classic at this point equal to VTMB.

Hmmmmmm would look more convincing if the panels were piled against a wall in the corner, but I guess you are right. I thought those were hiding some hole on the floor or something

I replayed it last year on nightmare or whatever it was called, it was more interesting than I remember.

Yeah, Thyper's hideout from the prologue. I too want my own building-turned-shelter in the middle of a depressing russian space station.

The amount of random conversations that are fully animated in the camp is insane. I feel like I spend at least an hour in camp each time I return just to listen to everyone.
Don't think there's another game out there that has characters that feel so tangible and real in a game.
