Honestly you people laugh at toilet paper hoarders, but you really dont have enough toilet paper yourselves. The average person uses 1 roll per day. If you have a family of 4, that's 28 rolls a week. Over 100 a month. TP will be worth its weight in gold in a few months, because everyone needs it.

A house in America is exactly as expensive in Europe. They are the same, it's just that in America housing is heavily subsidized by cities. To some extent the way houses are built here (close to the Urban core, zoning/parking requirements and taxes regulations) the city gets offloaded most of the costs. Doesn't work that way in Europe, so obviously a house like that is going to be a lot more expensive there.
