Burning bridges is a myth. I left my old job about 2 years ago and they called me last month asking what it would take to get me back. I told them my current pay (35k more than they used to pay me) and said if they matched it I would come back. They said they'd get back to me lol. Just give 2 weeks notice and leave things in as good condition as you can working hard until your last day. They'd dump you in a heartbeat if it made financial sense.
I actually agree with this, but it's a necessary sacrifice for the species to progress technologically. Look at how much innovation we get from a couple centuries of capitalism. Yeah it's gonna collapse, and 90% of the population will fucking die, but we're going to be on our way to being an interstellar species after that. Everything works in cycles. A system doesn't have to be perfect forever, it just has to serve its purpose while it lasts.
