The issue with importing population growth trends and low costs via outsourcing is a much lower trend now. We just imported huge supplies of goods as well and because of the spike in demand at higher prices for many things mostly shipping costs.
Labor participation is lower than 2019 still even in a hot but cooling labor market. Of course USA took advantage of dollar position and demand and with high interest rates it's remained with incredible demand. Still, that overpowered use of federal debt and dollar strength wasn't used productively enough to justify it. Now if it was used to create lots of future productivity it would be different but it wasn't. Now we have reducing real GDP and a fuck ton of new debt and normalized stimulus.
