Ceruledge doesn't scream digimon. It's colour scheme it too unified.

Not my point. The vast majority start out cute and progress to egregious levels of edge

You can't just pick the ones you don't like. Look at Mightyena and the Galarian Linoone line, and tell me they look the same, or even belong in any conversation about the decline in quality of Pokémon artstyle/design over the years

>You can't just pick the ones you don't like
>he doesn't know

Most "Pokemon" Digimon of all time

I really don't, enlighten me

some nip fed an ai a bunch of pokemon and digimon designs, then after it had decided what pokemon and digimon looked like he showed it a bunch of other pokemon and digimon designs and had the ai pick which was which. these are the pokemon it incorrectly labeled as digimon and are the digimon is incorrectly labeled pokemon. he did this 2000 times, the first number under each of the monster designs is how many times out of the 2000 simulations it was incorrectly labeled as a monster from the other series. so eternatus was incorrectly labeled a digimon all 2000 times, and terriermon was incorrectly labelled a pokemon 1996 times out of the 2000 simulations.

Also, this is the percentage of Pokemon mistaken as Digimon for each generation.
As you can see, we reached 25% for gen 7 and 30% for gen 8.
You can also notice that, the majority of Digimon mistaken as Pokemon were baby and child Digimons, which surprised no one as their designs were made to be cute from the beginning.

Interesting. Pokemon getting mistaken for digimon more often than the other way around suggests that Digimon's artstyle has remained more consistent throughout its lifetime.

If you look at it looks likethe biggest culprits are the gigantamax forms and regional forms moreso than the totally new pokemon

AI is not subjective like you are, but objective. Just the eyes changed completely since the first generation. Digimon always had anime eyes, Pokemon had triangular eyes. Bipedal monsters were also consider mostly Digimon (he did the graph for the percentage of bipedal Pokemon in each gen:
23.8% in gen 1,
28% in gen 2,
24.4% in gen 3,
25.2% in gen 4,
32.7% in gen 5,
27.8% in gen 6,
31.4% in gen 7
and 37.1% in gen 8).
Then the AI also compared teeth, claws, hairs, angles etc. And he did the test 2000 times of each monster to have the smallest margin of error possible.

In all honesty
it's
>slowbro
>nidoking/queen
>lapras (original art)
>ivysaur/venusaur
>wartortle/blastoise
>kanghaskhan
>rhydon

Hii hiiii

Porygon line and the Ultra beasts

idk how it took this many relies for someone to think of porygon

I actually like many Digimon designs, and 4/5 of my top Pokémon show up here. Probably not a coincidence.

The secret of this “franchise rivalry” is to just enjoy both, lol. There aren’t a ton of monster-collecting games I don’t enjoy.
