My favorite pokemon is a fire type

>my favorite pokemon is a fire type
>Ceruledge is revealed and it's the coolest thing ever
>I want it on my overall team but I have type autism
It hurts.

just play with all new pokemon

...

You can use it. Unless your favorite is
Charizard it's probably getting dexcut anyways

He's been bitching all day because Fuecoco overlaps. Let him cry alone

Try to think of it as your ghost type, not your fire type. That always helps me when I end up with overlaps!

Interesting take. I'll try that.

>he has a team in mind before he even plays

Autism. NGMI

Do a monotype run.

I never think about my team composition in advance either. I can't imagine not just letting your team build up as you go

I tried this in SWSH and the result was that I only had 4 Pokemon in my team by the end

I usually just go in with a rough idea of what I'd like to have on my team, but if I haven't made up my mind about some Pokemon, I just pick out and use whatever feels appropriate for what I actually need.

I sort of had a similar issue years ago where I couldn't seem to make up my mind on what Pokemon I wanted in ORAS, so I stubbornly beat the game with 4 Pokemon because I used to be really autistic about what kind of Pokemon I wanted to train. I'm still a little impressed that I was so picky I just left two slots empty instead of compromising.

Add a third fire type and commit to being a fire type trainer. There you go.

Become a fire-type champion and fulfill your autism in the opposite direction!

You could easily do an entire fire run. Growlithe, Flareon, Houndour, Torkoal, Fletchling, Oricorio Sensu, Coalossal have all gotten trailer focus, plus Fuecoco, Armarouge and Ceruledge. If they have catchable Rotom and not just a meme dex you could grab Heat forme too. It’s a good generation to be fire bros.

I said three because that's the bare minimum to be a type specialist by most Pokemon standards. Just look at Steven for example.

That means he has to compete in the VGC 2023. No monotype teams have been on the final round so far. I wonder why.

This, I usually decide about half my team then just go with the flow for the rest. I know I'll have Quaxy and Ceruledge for example

i did that with steel types

I'm in the same boat but i'm 100% willing to run dual fire type to have Fuecoco and Ceruledge. If it helps, remember that you can Terastelize to change types so one of your fire types can tera into something else for better coverage.

Monotype ur team
