I've created a UFC betting algo or prediction tool that I think has pretty decent accuracy and I will try to predict one fight on the upcoming UFC Paris card that starts in a couple of hours. Fight I will predict is Benoît Saint-Denis vs. Gabriel Miranda. I'll be updating this thread once my analysis is complete. Let me know if you guys want me to analyze any other fights. This tool is still a work in progress and I recommend you do not place any bets based on my picks

Share your model when you are done?
R?
Sci-py
Tensor
Home built?

Cool project, user. However, why UFC instead of something with a thicker dataset, like baseball? I have considered building a baseball model, but my intuition tells me to stay far away since there are people way better than me with tons of skill and experience that I would need to catch up to.

Ok I'm going to go with Benoît Saint-Denis

The algo picked the heavy favorite, huh?

I thought the event started a bit later so it was a really quick analysis and I didn't get much time to go through the fight and all data points

>French guy in Paris vs Brazilian.
Yea safe bet to bet on the French guy. Ufc isn't rigged but they do like to build stars.

Ok I can do another one. I didn't even look at the odds desu

Seconded. OP share your framework and what kind of features you're using.

Yah but that's not always the case though. In fact I would argue fighting at home has much more pressure

I'm not a programmer lol. I literally just have a spreadsheet with a bunch of data points that I go through for each fighter and whoever has more points I conclude should win. I can't even give percentages or the likelihood of a fighter winning either. It's very primitive

What are the data points?

Thanks, I don't know anything about baseball, only MMA, in particular UFC. I agree though MMA doesn't have much data

do these dudes ever hug and kiss during the faceoff

Lol don't worry

I have always thought sports like UFC are very homoerotic. The sport mostly consists of 2 muscular sweaty dudes laying on top of each other in wrestling holds. The only thing preventing the sport being called "rape battle" is the lack of anal penetration

pretty lame. if you're not going to talk about your process then don't waste people's time with your retarded thread.

I'll do another fight if you guys want

kek

Its missing the human element

to quote OP in --
>It's very primitive

>You're lame for not giving me your betting strategy
Why would I do this?

>You can control any man by his asshole.

>NOOO ANYTHING THAT INVOLVES MEN TOUCHING IS GAY!
Time to stop repressing your homosexuality friend

Highly likely Gane will be too much for Tuivasa, but Tuivasa at 4/1 isn't a bad punt.
