casually hunting for a tiny or alpha shiny rufflet while waiting for another good outbreak to spawn would love to see mawile and feebas huntable in dlc even though water hunts are cancer
anybody know if saving at the camp is absolutely necessary for the outbreak method? also does the game notify you if you try and release a shiny i think thats my biggest fear, accidentally mass releasing one

the save at the camp is 100% necessary because outbreak seeds are separate from map seeding and weird It probably doesn’t warn you about shinies since it doesn’t warn about alphas but haven’t tested shiny release

Are shinies more common in PLA? I've gotten two so far just running around gathering mats and I'm not all that far into the game yet.

it does warn you same base rate but it's easier to increase it

thanks. im watching some japanese dude try and do it and he's not saving, and hasn't found anything. told him to save last time and he got a shiny within 10 minutes. yet he switched back to not saving lol I feel like the english community is just way more knowledgeable about this stuff swarms are more common otherwise they're the same rarity. You just run into way more pokemon without having to actually engage, so you end up seeing way more shinies thanks, that's a relief

Pretty much, yeah. I’m playing through the game and exploring a bit and have found three shiny Geodude, and one Petilil, Roselia, Carnivine and Parasect. Wonder if I’ll fill a team of offcolored Grass types or shiny pebbles first.

I ended up getting the female alpha but too much of a dumbshit to get the screenshot off my switch. Cute nature too, suits the Espeon I'm gonna evolve it into. I got about 25 male alphas, 12 shiny eevees, and 3 full odds shinies on the trip to the mass outbreak, 2 snorunts and a swinub.
