I always thought Magby looked like it could be a good starter. It kinda looks out of place though compared to its evos, mainly it looking like it has a bowlcut/dreadlocks, and the choker.

They're actually not that rare, it varies between 4-6% and you roll 6 times when you load the area and then again on each respawn timer.

I caught an alpha in the volcano area and I don't intend on using it. I'd gladly give it away.

It was literally the first Pokemon I saw on the Island

I've had the opposite luck. Found Magby, Alpha Magmar and a shiny Magmar (female) but still have not seen a single fucking elekid or a munchlax.
