SwSh outselling GS (not even GSC just GS) was inevitable because GS had none of those advantages. Instead of bragging about SwSh beating a game on a dead handheld, how about comparing SwSh it to other switch games.

not really, Pokemonia was already on the decline by the time GS came out. That also doesn't explain all the other advantages SwSh had
The existence of DLC incentivizes people to by the base game, even the people who like SwSh said that it was because it was carried by the DLC

You can't play DLC without the base game, so ironically it does include DLC sales.

How hard is it to understand there's a solid number for many copies Crystal sold, but no one besides Nintendo/Game Freak has a clue how many people purchased the Sword and Shield DLC?
