We're about to enter victory road. It's been a hell of a ride. Still a little wary of the overall team comp, but I'm taking what I can get. Looking forward to evolving Zhange He after finding the Razor Claw.
good luck user! Making a comic can be pretty difficult.
Just started one, been playing little by little in the nights. Just defeated Bugsy and his Kingdra and Silver just before leaving Azalea Town, lost Zehyr to a critical hit by a Bugcatcher's Lucario in the gym. Capture Jinx when getting the fartfetch'd to get Cut.
and now snorlax died to an explosion despite having full health
god fucking dammit everythings getting down the drain at the finish line

Everytime I fight a pokemon that uses metronome I pray that it doesn't get me with a super effective move or explosion/self-destruct.

Its worse for me because i turned on the 30%+ levels on the randomizer. So i'm facing lvl 50-60 gravelers using explosion and some of my slow mons just cant run or one shot them. and outside of blastoise (and i thought snorlax but big woop) everyones in my team is a glass cannon

I've played a lot of Sword since the last thread: >Vs Melony >Frosmoth Margo sets up Light Screen(with Clay), Frosmoth sets up Hail. Next, the moth gets Hypnotized. I send in Le Bello(w/Leftovers) in. He gets one free turn of Calm Mind before the moth wakes up and uses Feather Dance- while I get another Calm Mind in. Next comes a Bug Buzz and a third Calm Mind. Another Bug Buzz next, then a Flash Cannon blasts away the bug. >Galarian Darmanitan It Taunts, then falls to Flash Cannon. Light Screen Fades. >Eiscue Yet another Flash Cannon KO. >Gigantamax Lapras It uses Max Geyser, I respond with Flash Cannon, Taunt wears off. Another Max Geyser, another Flash Cannon. Lapras mixes it up at the end with G-Max Resonance, I keep blasting with Flash Cannon. A slightly lucky Sing Miss, and a final Flash Cannon wins the battle.
>Sword I meant Shield. Whoops. >Vs Piers >Scrafty Margo traces Intimidate, lowering Scrafty's Attack. She sets up Reflect(again, with the Clay) and gets hit with Payback. She proceeds to Charm Scrafty, but it responds by using a Sand Attack. I send in Squidward(w/Leftovers) on a Payback. Next, I have Squidward start buffing himself with Superpower- also getting an Accuracy buff from Sand Attack(thank you Piers!). Another Superpower takes the Scrafty out, and the sweep is well under way. >Malamar Squidward Night Slashes his doppelganger, who uses Foul Play to hit back quite respectably. Another Night Slash does the job though. >Obstagoon Superpower oneshots it, and Reflect wears off. >Skuntank It falls to a single Superpower. Malamar and Bronzong are gonna be big mons for this latter half of the Psychic Monolocke.
>Vs Raihan (Gym Double Battle) >Gigalith and Flygon I start out with Squidward and Suzie on the field. Flygon uses Breaking Swipe, lowering Susie's Attack(pretty meaningless) but powering up Squidward. An Expert Belt Ice Beam from Suzie oneshots Flygon. Squidward hits Gigalith with a Superpower, then gets Body Pressed in return. He heals a bit with Leftovers. >Gigalith and Sandaconda Scorching Sands finishes Gigalith off, and Squidward uses another Superpower, this time on Sandaconda. The snakes Glares at Suzie. >Sandaconda and Gigantamax Duraludon Max Steelspike hits Suzie quite hard- leaving her at 20 HP, and giving the Gigantamaxed dragon a defense buff. +2 Superpower still hits pretty hard though. Sandaconda uses Glare on Squidward as well. Scorching Sands finishes off Duraludon. >Sandaconda I switch out Suzie for Cavendish, and she gets Fire Fanged on the way in. A Night Slash from Squidward wins the battle.
whats the appeal of randomizers? not trying to be an ass, honest question. i tried dabbling on it sometimes but i always go back to doing harsher challenges on familiar territory instead of utter chaos that i dont know how to find appealing at all.

Not who you replied to, but randomizers are excellent ways to use Pokemon you could almost never use otherwise. Just being stuck with some rando pokemon that have excellent moves, there's nothing quite like it.

>Vs Marnie >Liepard It uses Nasty Plot, but falls to Squidward's Superpower >Scrafty It falls to Superpower as well. >Toxicroak It gets a Venoshock in before falling to Psycho Cut >Morpeko It causes Squidward to Flinch with a Bite, Then uses Torment next turn before falling to Superpower. >Gigantamax Grimmsnarl Torment forces me to use Night Slash rather than Superpower, and Max Starfall does a decent enough chunk of damage. Superpower sends Grimmsnarl well into the red, but Max Starfall does the same in return. I decide to switch Le Bello in instead, and Marnie uses a Full Restore. Grimmsnarl Bulks Up and then uses Torment, but fall to two Flash Cannons in a row.
>Vs Hop >Dubwool Le Bello(w/Leftovers) gets Body Slammed, then sets up a Substitute. Two turns of Body Slam and Iron Defense follows. A third Body Slam breaks the Substitute. Dubwool uses a Cotton Guard, then gets put deep into the red by Body Press. Hop uses a Full Restore, but I roll high and Body Press oneshots the Dubwool. >Snorlax It falls to a single Body Press. >Pincurchin It also falls to a single Body Press. >Corviknight It gets two Drill Pecks in before being taken out by two Body Presses. >Dynamax Rillaboom It breaks the Substitute with a Max Quake, but a Body Press crit almost oneshots it. Max Darkness accomplishes nothing and it falls to another Body Press.
>Vs Oleana >Froslass It uses Will-O-Wisp, and Kongming(w/BrightPowder) fires back with Shadow Ball. Froslass uses Double Team next, but a second Shadow Ball gets the KO. >Milotic It uses Aqua Ring, and Kongming Calms his Mind. Next follow a Surf, and a Thunderbolt Crit. Milotic uses Recover, and Thunderbolt is not gonna be able to outpace the healing while I'm also taking Burn damage. I send in Cavendish(carrying a Big Root) in as Milotic Safeguards. Milotic then Recovers again, and I have Cavendish start racking up Calm Minds. Two turns of Surf and Calm Mind comes next. The third Surf is met with a Draining Kiss, putting Milotic into the the yellow, and almost fully healing Cavendish. Mioltic sets up Safeguard and Recovers next, letting me get 2 more Calm Minds in. Milotic uses Surf as Cavendish reaches full power with a sixth Calm Mind. Another Surf is met with Draining Kiss that puts Milotic into the red. It uses Recover, but another Draining Kiss KOs. The Safeguard fades. >Salazzle Venoshock fails to do much, and Psychic destroys Salazzle. >Tsareena It does good damage with Acrobatics, but Draining Kiss oneshots and heals back more or less all health lost. >Gigantamax Garbodor G-max Malodor puts Cavendish into the red, but Psychic easily takes the Garbodor out.
changes it up to use pokemon you're not used to, keeps you on your toes, lets you have some variables that could be huge boons or burdens, and gets away from the formulaic lineups that are all too common in Nuzlockes.
R.O.W.E is amazing with the way it works nuzlockes - legendary restricting - Pokemon scale level and EVOLUTION with badges - trainers for the most part use pokemon from the surrounding routes, so you know somewhat what you're dealing with going into trainer battles
Normal nuzlockes where you can face level 5 Florges with Moonblast are unfun, but R.O.W.E . really gives a breath of fresh air to its own game by playing in randomizer compared to stock.
