bro your houndoom?

It is because Pryce's ace is 4 levels lower than that

fpbp

people can never decide if
>the level curve is bad because I have to grind!!
or
>the level curve is bad because its too easy!
That's how you know no one actually cares about this "issue".

its both, depending on which part of the game. that makes it called a curve, you subhuman mongrel piece of shit

What parts of the game?
>subhuman mongrel piece of shit
I'm not the one that has to grind in a baby game.

Your argument is invalid.

Stop skipping trainers.
You don't need a full team of Pokemon. 1-3 will suffice.
Battle Wild Pokemon if they get in your way.

>>the level curve is bad because I have to grind!!
>or
>>the level curve is bad because its too easy!
It's not that people can't decide, it's because you're leaving parts out
In reality the arguments are
>the level curve is bad because you have to grind up a full team
As shown by the OP and
>the level curve is also bad because using 1 pokemon makes it far too easy
Basically what it needed was a middle ground where you could train up a full team but not get so overlevelled that it becomes piss easy. Come to think of it, gen 2 would have been better with the new exp share

>You don't need a full team of Pokemon. 1-3 will suffice
Literally the best part of Pokemon is creating a team and bonding with them. Having a couple overleveled mons and a bunch of trashy HM slaves is awful unless you are 10yo or under. That's why the HM removal is a good thing, it allows you to have more freedom for team composition

jasmine's gsc team is based around shutting down hard hitting water types since both magnemite have semi-legal t-bolt and steelix has sunny day. as such, other than rock throw, you shouldn't struggle too much with quilava... but yeah i'm a big johto enjoyer, i replay it frequently, but it is very easy. i don't use items in battle and don't evolve most things. also of course, set over shift. i assume most people on here use set anyway. ahem

Not reading any of that lmao

Johto is the peak of pokemon

Every gym leader from Morty to Pryce is braindead easy, I don’t know how you can be under leveled for any of them

>Battle Wild Pokemon if they get in your way.
You don't even need to do this lmao.

OP defeated Steelix with a Skiploom, what are you talking about? Levels are just number and doesn't affect gameplay when things like badge boosts and team composition. You can beat Red with a level 50 team. How can't people understand this is beyond my understanding.

People complain about battling wild Pokémon 10 times to gain a level but praise catching the same Pokémon 10 times to progress the story… why?

Literally beat Red as an 8 year old with a Typhlosion, Graveler, four Route 29 slaves, and some revives.

It'll take you a gym and really big sidequest after that to meet anything at lv.35+ from now on

>but it is very easy
i lose to most of the gym leaders every time i play through johto

i love how they rely on gimmicks rather than just random smogon teams like the newer games

>falkner
accuracy lowering (gsc)/healing (hgss)
>bugsy
chip damage + crit
>whitney
infatuation
>morty
sleep + dream eater
>chuck
mind reader + dynamic punch (gsc)/focus punch (hgss)
>jasmine
water counter
>pryce
speed lowering + rest
>clair
max coverage

Only trainers I skipped were the sea trainers in between Olivine and Cianwood.

Based anons. I remember the OP of that thread. A perfect example of a good Johto bro.
This could be a problem but I wanted to lv up my Swinub and Skarmory before last gym so it's pretty convenient.

This is my team at radio tower rn. Tell them something nice.

>OP defeated Steelix with a Skiploom
And it either took half an hour OR he lost more than once. And because the steelox has rock throw in inclined to believe the latter

pretty based team actually
