You know why some pokemon designs look so shit? It's because many pokemon do not have believable animal anatomy where you can see muscles and joints and details. Instead they look like low detail cartoon caricatures and not actually biological fantasy animals.
Pic related is a digimon design that is very simple but that also looks like an animal that can move around and do stuff.
Barring ghosts and synthetic pokemon like porygon, pokemon are pretty much equivalent to animals.
Jonathan Garcia
No they aren't. They're a separate entity from animals.
Bentley Butler
>Pic related is a digimon design that is very simple >ice hands, feet, tail, and mask >fur around neck >hexagon tattoos for no reason it's overdesigned trash. now get the fuck out digifag.
Landon Taylor
Pokemon are the "animals" of their world since animals from the real world don't exist
>since animals from the real world don't exist Yes they do.
Brandon Cook
>complaining about a mane I bet you think lions are overdesigned too, don't you? Faggot
Jace Turner
Example of a really shit pokemon design. - Is supposed to be a biological being, yet it consists of perfect geometry that you'd spawn in blender - Completely flat surface - Only anatomical elements are spikes and a fin - 0 details
Hudson Carter
They used to, but don't anymore. They've been retconned since Gen 3.
Mason Ross
That anatomy isn't believable. How does it lift itself with those tiny stubs it calls legs? How does its tail not weigh it down?
Who cares if you label them as animals? They're still biological creatures that need to eat, shit and sleep. They're functionally animals.
Cooper Brown
the best digimon designs are still worse than than worst pokemon designs.
Wyatt Wilson
Asboltely consistent and believable!! >barring the cases where ther aren't they generally are.
Digimon has a fuckton of good designs, but the general sense is hideous. The notion that Digimon is even close to pokemon in quality is only because you want to pretend you're the cool outsider, but even at its worst pokemon is still better.
