Gender expression and sexual attraction are more related than I think most people recognize. There's a reason why butch lesbians are such a thing and super swishy gay guys and drag queens are such a thing.
Also most transgender people are also LGBT and they have always been a part of the larger LGBT community, crackdowns on trans gender people is what sparked the Stonewall riot and the preceding riots.
Transgender is also a broader concept than transsexualism and encompasses gender presentation and gender roles as much as it does "being in the wrong body"

Transgenderism is a behavior. If someone really lives fully time as a man or as a woman (opposite to their birth sex), then they are "really trans".

Because most transgender people are also transsexual, HRT is good for aesthetics (incl a femboy aesthetic) and plastic surgery can be good for aesthetics or for gender dysphoria which a lot of transgender people also suffer from

Because we should have a right to identify how we'd like, dress how we'd like, act how we'd like regardless if it rustles right wing feathers. Once you start throwing people in prison for "crossdressing", you are infringing on their basic rights. Once you are insisting that people only use the names and pronouns and honorifics of their genitals at birth, that is infringing on their rights. Etc.
